Dr. John D. Head is the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management. He came to the University of West Georgia in 2012 and is responsible for the coordination of enrollment and retention efforts at the university.
Dr. Head has worked in higher education for over 23 years. Prior to coming to UWG, he served as the Vice President of Enrollment Management at Shorter University. Dr. Head also has worked as the Dean of Students, Dean of Institutional Advancement and Director of Admissions at Tennessee Wesleyan College. He began his career in higher education as the Associate Director of Admissions at Reinhardt College.
Dr. Head earned the Doctor of Education degree with an emphasis in Higher Education Administration from the University of Tennessee in 2005. He also earned a Masters of Mass Communication degree from the University of Georgia in 1989, and the Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Shorter College in 1987.
