Our daughter, Sarah, was not being academically challenged at the local high school.  The Advanced Academy provided that challenge and much more.  As parents, we recognized the opportunity for her to participate in a program where the transition into a college atmosphere was almost as important as the academic stimulation.  The Academy also put her in a peer group that was minimally available at her high school, and she found herself in an environment where academic achievement was the norm.  Sarah thrived in this atmosphere both academically and socially and chose to participate in extracurricular activities, eg RHC executive board secretary, yearbook, community service club and softball.  Sarah will be attending Georgia Tech's Biomedical Engineering Program in the fall, but now has that all-important transition year behind her and is better prepared to move onto the next level.  We would highly recommend the Advanced Academy and plan to enroll our son when he is eligible.
