RICHARDS COLLEGE OF BUSINESS
Requirements:
To become a full business major, students must complete 45 hours in core areas A-F (including ENGL 1101, MATH 1111, MATH 1413, ACCT 2101 & ECON 2105 or 2106) with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Complete the following courses with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA: Core Area F (ACCT 2101, 2102; ECON 2105, 2106; BUSA 2106; CISM 2201), Business Core and Major courses (no more than 1 D allowed in this area).
Until students become a full major, they are advised by pre-major advisors, Kasey Hannah (Pre-Accounting, Pre-Finance, Pre-Management and Pre-Management Information Systems) and Christy Rabern (Pre-Marketing, Pre-Real Estate, Pre-Business Education and Undecided Business). Again, full majors have completed the following:
- ENGL 1101, MATH 1111, MATH 1413, ACCT 2101, ECON 2105 or 2106, 45 hours & have a 2.0 GPA

Economics
Economics is the study of the production, consumption and distribution of goods and services, and how the use of natural, technological and financial resources affect the lives of human beings. Economics is divided into two majors classifications: Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. Macroeconomics involves the economy's business cycle and microeconomics concentrates on the behavior of consumers, workers, and businesses. These two broad areas are comprised of many specialized topics such as international trade, labor unions, and public finance.
