eCore: May 13 - July 21

Drop/Add opens back up on May 19th for regular Summer classes and May 13th for eCore classes.
You will be able to change Summer and Fall schedules on this date.

Important Dates for Fall 2008
July 14-31: Open Registration
August 5 @ 6:00pm: Early Registration Fee Payment Deadline
August 15: First Day of Fall Semester
August 15-21: Late Registration and Drop/Add
August 22 @ 5:00pm: Final Fee Payment Deadline

NOW THAT I HAVE DECIDED, WHAT DO I DO?

You've decided on a major. What do you have to do next? It is very simple. Go to the department you've chosen to major in and fill out a declaration of major form. The department will make sure that the paperwork is sent to all the right people on campus, and you will be entered into the computer as one of their majors.

At the time you fill out the form, be sure to ask about your faculty advisor. Some departments randomly assign students to faculty advisors and some departments take requests for an advisor. Do not wait until the next registration period to find out to whom you've been assigned. In fact, it's a good idea to go find the professor's office and even introduce yourself as a new major. You might even ask how your advisor handles advising. Are appointments required or is it first come first serve during office hours. That way you won't be running around trying to figure out what to do when advising begins.
