Every great institution needs the support of its alumni, students, faculty, staff and surrounding community. It is only with this combined commitment that the goals of the university can be reached. At the University of West Georgia, annual gifts are vital to fund the level of services and academic programs our students deserve and to prepare the university for future growth.
The University System of Georgia is projecting an enrollment growth of 100,000 new students by 2020. UWG, one of only four Georgia universities chosen for a “robust tier” of doctoral comprehensive universities, is exceptionally well-poised on the brink of this endeavor. During our second century, we intend to achieve our rightful place in Georgia’s higher education system and meet a state need while positioning the university among the nation’s finest comprehensive educational institutions.
West Georgia has been recognized as a Best Southeastern College by the Princeton Review for four years in a row and one of America’s Best Value Colleges for 2007. The Richards College of Business has also been included in the 2007 Princeton Review guide to the Best 282 Business Schools. With your support, the university will continue its pursuit of excellence well into its second century and be ready for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
