H.B. "Rocky" Lipham

H.B. “Rocky” Lipham III, a 1990 graduate of the University of West Georgia, has come quite a long way since completing the University of Georgia and Georgia Bankers Association Banking School in the early ’90s. In 1994, he joined West Georgia National Bank as vice president and branch manager of their Villa Rica office. By 2002, he had risen to the position of executive vice president.
In 2004, Lipham was named president and director of the bank. In 2006 he was also named chief executive officer and a director of WGNB Corp., the bank’s parent company. In July, West Georgia National Bank merged with First National Bank of Georgia and he was named chief executive officer of the merged bank. He also became chief executive officer of WGNB Corp.
Throughout Lipham’s career, he has been extremely active in the West Georgia community and in professional organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Carroll Tomorrow Foundation, the Tanner Medical Foundation, United Way of Douglas County, Oak Mountain Academy, University of West Georgia Foundation and Alice’s House Community Children’s Home.
He is also 2nd vice president of the Carrollton Lions Club and a member of the Carroll County and Douglas County Chambers of Commerce. Since 1992, Lipham has been actively involved with the UWG’s A DAY For West Georgia, serving as Chair in 2006.
Rocky, his wife, Marnie, and their two daughters live in Carrollton.
