Corporate and Foundation Giving

The financial needs of a university such as West Georgia are complex, and often go far beyond the funding of scholarships and new construction.

In order to provide its students with the best possible education, the university, through its colleges and departments, conducts numerous programs to enhance student performance, provide student research opportunities, promote faculty participation in national and regional learning events, and host lectures and seminars.

To secure funding for these needs, it is necessary to constantly search for new sources of funding, primarily through the many philanthropic programs operated by corporations and foundations.

At UWG, the Director of Corporate and Foundati on Relations is charged with researching new possible sources of funding, matching their giving priorities with the needs of the university, and working with the colleges and departments to write and submit grant proposals.
