The University of West Georgia Foundation
The University of West Georgia Foundation, Inc. was founded in 1967, to exclusively raise, administer, invest, and transfer private gifts in support of the University of West Georgia. Many of the outstanding programs offered by West Georgia can only be supported by private funding.
State funding can make a good University, but it takes private support to make an excellent University. Gifts from alumni, friends, businesses, faculty/staff, foundations, matching gift companies, and other organizations supplement state dollars. The University of West Georgia relies on these gifts to maintain and enhance its excellence in education.
