Distinguished Lecturer Series in Anthropology

The Waring Distinguished Lecturers in Anthropology is a public lecture series for our Department, the University, and the wider regional community. As the centerpiece of our outreach program, we invite to campus outstanding scholars in each of the subfields of Anthropology to raise awareness of the significance of our discipline and to highlight some of the major accomplishments in the field. These programs are important for the students and faculty as well, since they allow us to meet new colleagues and create bridges with other universities. Our students have also benefited enormously from advice and support given by these individuals.
