Summer Study Abroad

For the past 11 years the Department of Art has organized summer study abroad in France. In 1997 the city of Bayeux, France gave the Department of Art a full-size replica of the famous Bayeux Tapestry. Because of this special relationship, trips often center around a stay in the city of Bayeux, located in the Normandy region, and just 8 miles from the English Channel. It is an area rich in history, the medieval capital of France, and more recently the heart of the D-Day invasion during World War II. Students can take art history and studio art courses, as well as a variety of courses outside of the Department of Art. Funding for these trips is available through scholarships and HOPE pays tuition costs. Travel abroad is an experience that will change your life and your world view forever.
