This option allows a student the greatest flexibility in choosing art courses from existing offerings. Studio Art majors take fewer art courses than BFA students but take an additional minor plus two foreign language courses outside the Department of Art. While this degree is not recommended for someone interested in direct application of artistic practice after graduation, it is an excellent degree for someone seeking a broad, liberal arts education. Possible combinations of minors or further study might include Art Therapy, Business, Marketing, or Public Relations.
