Big Night
In keeping with the University’s commitment to excellence in undergraduate research, Big Night is West Georgia’s event which celebrates undergraduate scholarship and research in the categories of arts, humanities, social and natural science, business, and education. The presenters at this event are selected through competitions held by each of these departments/colleges on Research Day. Winners of these competitions give presentations to a campus wide audience on Big Night. Past department winners for the Arts Area (Fine Art, Music & Theatre) include Brook Battersby (2000), Marneweh Harper (2001), Lexia Snow (2002), Jess Snyder (2005) and Maggie Bowers (2006). Research Day is typically held in February and Big Night is typically held in April.
