As you listen to the program, please keep a log of the things that you hear. After you listen to the program and analyze your information, put together a two-page paper describing the following aspects of the show:

What was the overall structure of the show?

How many announcers did the show use? How were the announcers used? Describe their voice quality.

How many different segments were incorporated into the broadcast? Were the music/interviews in segments? How would you describe the format of the program? (Were musical wrap-arounds used, for example?)

Was a standard time used for each segment or did the time differ from segment to segment? Could you draw a program wheel or "hot clock" that illustrates the program's format?

How would you describe the style of the show? Was the show fairly upbeat or was the style easy going? Did the focus of the show vary from segment to segment or was the format consistent?

Did the show sound as though it were a seamless program or did the show sound like it was pieced together?

Did you find any of the segments interesting? Why were they of interest? Would you listen to this show again? Would you listen regularly?

Who do you think is the intended listening audience for this program? How would you improve the format of this program?

Did the show use music as theme, stingers or bumpers between segments?

This analysis is to be handed in by Thursday, April 19, 2001.
