Promoting the humane treatment and control of feral cats on the UWG campus
The mission of CampusCats is to humanely reduce and manage the feral cat population on the UWG campus using the most innovative, effective and non-lethal method of trap, neuter, return (TNR), and providing education, promoting responsible pet care and spay/neuter practices throughout the campus community.
A mass Trap and Neuter effort is being planned once the weather gets a bit cooler. The late fall and winter months are an ideal time for this effort. This timeframe is right between “kitten season.” Mothers will not be nursing, and a strong effort to neuter will reduce the population spike during the spring and summer months.
