Courses Description:This course is an alternative in Area A of the Core Curriculum and is a general overview of mathematical concept used in quantitative reasoning and not intended to supply sufficient algebraic background for students who intend to take Pre-calculus or the Calculus sequence for science majors. This course places quantitative skills and reasoning in the context of experiences that students may likely encounter. It emphasizes processing information in context from a variety of representations, understanding of both the information and the processing, and understanding which conclusions can be reasonably determined. Grading Method:Your grade will come from three sources. The first is the online quizzes available at the publisher's website (30%). Make sure you set up the PROFILE in your account so that the results is sent to my email. The second is the Mini Excursions (40%). The third is your final EXAM (30%). The final average will be the sum of these percentages. Grades are assigned on a 10% point scale format:
