FAFSA Night to Benefit Students in Financial Need
High school students and their families are invited to a Free Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA) Night on Thursday, May 1, from 4:30 – 7 p.m. at the University of West Georgia. The workshop will take place in the Technology-enhanced Learning Center, Room 1116, and is designed for high school seniors, UWG students and any citizen with a social security card.
Students can benefit from financial aid provided by FAFSA.
Financial Aid volunteers will be on hand to help students complete their FAFSA form. Tax returns, a registered personal identification number and other records are required to complete an application. To view what to bring to FAFSA night, go to the UWG financial aid website at www.westga.edu/~finaid.
The PIN is necessary to sign the FAFSA electronically and it is recommended that applicants register for the PIN as soon as possible at http://www.pin.ed.gov/.
Created by the U.S. Department of Education, FAFSA ensures that eligible individuals can benefit from federal funding or federally guaranteed financial assistance for education beyond their high school years.
