The Wonder Walkers have participated in the event for several years and UWG served as a sponsor for the first time this year. The event was particularly difficult for the team, having lost two members, Brenda Palmer and Jill Davidson, shortly before the relay. The team set up candle-lit memorials for Palmer and Davidson as the team walked.
