storm damage at UWG

On a recent trip to coastal Georgia, Lisa Ledbetter, assistant vice president for UCM, noticed this archway in the Crescent Community on State Route 99 in McIntosh County. The capstone reads "Kings Daughters Orphans Home 1907." An Internet search did not reveal a history of this site, but apparently there were several orphanages of this name in the South at the turn of the century.
