Penelope Melson Society Opens Anne Frank Exhibit

The Penelope Melson Society and the Ingram Library will open the exhibit “Anne Frank: A History for Today” on Sunday, Sept. 7. The exhibit is free and the community is welcome to attend during library hours.

Produced in the Netherlands and made available through the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust and the Anne Frank Center USA, the exhibit juxtaposes photographs of the Frank family with historical events of the time period. MORE

New Mentor Program Combines Politics, Freshmen Success

DeLandra HunterThe EXCEL Center for Academic Success and the Department of Political Science and Planning have begun a progressive new mentor program for freshmen that combines politics with their first year success. 

The iServe Mentoring program presents a syllabus of civic and academic responsibility that encourages freshmen to succeed in their studies as they become involved in the political process on and off campus. MORE

The Art of the Piano is EPIC

The Art of the piano is EPIC.A grand piano is made up of more than 9,000 precision parts of wood, metal and fiber,  and when fitted together, creates a beautiful instrument. A Shigeru Kawai Grand uses Japanese Ezo Spruce grown in the mountains of Hokkaido, Japan. The extreme climate and high altitude of Hokkaido produce a wood that is prized for its close, even grain. MORE
