Event of NoteThe Department of Art will host an alumni, faculty and student photography exhibit titled “the grey area” through September 23 in the second floor gallery of the Humanities Building. “We wish to continue the ongoing exploration of graffiti as an art medium,” Barnes said. “And explore its place in the gallery setting.” It is the first gallery show that is completely organized and set up by students but not the first for Barnes and Wright. “We feel as if the issue of graffiti is no longer just a black and white topic,” said Wright. “This show may change the definition of graffiti or of art itself.” Both students have exhibited their work in museums, cultural arts centers and at UWG.
