The TCPA celebrates its 20th year on campus this month with an unprecedented schedule of shows and university events. Students built an elaborate set on stage shortly after the Townsend's Center's first year for the "Look Homeward, Angel" production.
Two Decades of Tickets
In the 20 years since it has opened, the Townsend Center has served its community well. Thousands of faculty, staff and students have walked, danced and sang on its stage to applause, and community residents have grown to love the center for its cultural events and family entertainment. MORE

Ombuds are Here
Conflict is a fact of life, but it doesn’t have to consume yours. A new University Ombuds Office has opened in Strozier Hall to help faculty, staff and students resolve issues of conflict on campus.
Patricia Pinkard, coordinator of office services for the College of Arts and Sciences, and Dr. Bruce Lyons, retired and vice president for Student Services and Dean of Students Emeritus, have accepted the staff and faculty Ombuds positions for 2008-09. MORE

Campaigning on Campus
The 2008 A DAY for West Georgia campaign is celebrating the 26th anniversary of the event on campus with two familiar faces as crusaders, Police Chief Tom Mackel, and Dr. Mary Hooper, assistant professor of Educational Leadership and Professional Studies.
As campus chair, Mackel is rallying fellow co-workers to donate to the scholarship fun.
