West Georgia VoicesTura Anthony, director of nursing at Health Services, won the first pair of faculty and staff A DAY Airtran Airline tickets at the Ice Cream Social. She and her husband, William, have not decided where they are going, but they definitely plan on using the winning prize. Here is what Tura had to say: “I was so excited to finally win something,” said Anthony. “I think the tickets are a blessing – now my husband and I can have a second honeymoon. My family and I have cared for my Mom for the last five years and worked full-time. I could write a book on taking care of a parent with Alzheimer's while working. I think God has given these tickets as a blessing so my husband and I can have some quality time together. We haven't decided (where to fly) because we are in the process of moving back to Georgia. We bought a second home in Alabama instead of using the money for gas. We live in what will be our retirement home but retirement will not be any time soon. We have a year to use the tickets, so, when we have completed our move, we will decide. We basically have been living out of my SUV for the last five years so I could help my family and help with Mother with her care in the nursing home.
