I Am West GeorgiaJulie Lineback
My job title: Web Content Manager. What I really do: A lot of surfing. Birthplace: Maryville, Tennessee. Family: Husband Dan and a herd of four-legged children (of the feline variety). People describe me as: One in a million. My favorite things to do: Travel, read, watch the tube and spend time with loved ones. My proudest accomplishment: Independence. My passion: Doing what is right. My pet peeve: Hypocrisy. Before UWG, I: Was edging closer to a soulless existence working in corporate America. I joined UWG because: It felt right. I stay because: It still feels right. Thank goodness. The best advice I ever received: Not to worry about what other people think. When I was a child, I wanted to be: A writer. Most people don't know that: My heterochromia is due to my past neuroblastoma. My favorite quotation: "I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?" Death thought about it. "Cats," he said eventually. "Cats are nice." (Terry Pratchett, Sourcery) The book I think everyone should read: F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby. The movie I think everyone should watch: Anything that opens your mind to different ways of thinking. My favorite memory: My life has been so full and eventful, it is hard to pick just one. The person (alive or dead) I’d most like to meet: F. Scott Fitzgerald. What I would most like to have if castaway on an island: A book. What I would do if I won the lottery: Give money to charity, pay off my house, go back to Europe and save the rest. What I most want to contribute to students: Don’t give up on your dreams. Although you didn’t ask, I’d like to tell you anyway: Over 10% of pet owners dress their pets in Halloween costumes. My Snowshoe Siamese, Shai, has his own Trick-or-Treat t-shirt.
