A Taste of Opera Delights

Wonderful musical performances and sumptuous hors d’oeuvres await audience members at the fifth annual “A Taste of Opera” on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. at Sunset Hills Country Club. The event is presented by the Department of Music at the University of West Georgia.
Under the direction of Dr. Larry Frazier, professor of music, the UWG Opera Workshop will present several operatic selections that are sure to please and entertain audiences. Students will perform selections from several famous operas, including “The Marriage of Figaro,” “Carmen” and “The Magic Flute.” Students will perform each selection as duets, trios, quartets, quintets and a full chorus, all accompanied by Frazier on piano.
Sunset Hills Country Club is located at 201 Club Drive in Carrollton. Tickets are $16.45 and are sold at the door only. A dinner and dessert, prepared by the staff at Sunset Hills County Club, will be included in the cost of admission.
