Steven Fischer, instructor of saxophone, is earning his doctorate in music and has inhabited Professor John Bleuel’s office this semester as a guest conductor. Fischer is a graduate student at UGA and will earn his Doctorate of Musical Arts this December. Fischer conducted this month’s Sax Ensemble in the Dangle Theatre to a packed house. The concert was so good, audience members grumbled that it was too short.

Retired Spanish professor Dr. Cecilia C. Lee had her book "El Sueño de la Razón y la pesadilla de la Historia en las trilogías de Carlos Rojas / The Dream of Reason and the Nightmare of History in Carlos Rojas’s Trilogies" published this year. The book explores the narrative art of Spanish writer Carlos Rojas (1928- ) based on the analysis of his Trilogies written between 1978 and 1995. The book is written entirely en Español.
Sunil Hazari, associate professor of management, and Sandra Thompson, co-director of the business education program in management, presented "Investigating Factors Affecting Faculty Use of Multimedia in Courses" at the 2008 Delta Pi Epsilon National Conference in Chicago this November.
