50 Attend Annual Day at the Capitol

Erin Henderson, director of governmental relations and special projects at UWG, greets administrators, faculty, staff, alumni and students upon arrival at the capitol in Atlanta. The group traveled together in a bus from Carrollton and stayed the day talking with legislators, meeting Gov. Sonny Perdue and giving West Georgia a presence under the golden dome. kudosDr. Joy Black, assistant professor of mathematics, presented a "Leaping Frogs and Flying Airplanes" workshop at the Georgia Council of Teachers of Mathematics at Rock Eagle. She also presented "Explorations with the TI-73 Calculator" at the Alabama Council of Teachers of Mathematics in Montgomery.
