"I hope that your summer has been safe and enjoyable. Mine has been rather busy as we had a distinguished visitor in town and I spent the morning chasing my boss and him with a camera. A rather personable gentleman who enjoyed talking and spending time with the soldiers is here.
Mark Woelzlein, a UWG student in Iraq, took this photo of Vice President Joe Biden visiting the troops.
"When I got back to Iraq from mid tour leave, a new job was handed to me as the Multinational Corps - Iraq Commanding General's, Lt. Gen. Jacoby, photographer. This is typically not a Combat Camera job, but it does put me behind the camera again to prove to the soldiers that I lead and teach that I still have the ability to do what I tell them to do. I have been able to request orders for a second one-year tour, beginning later this month till late July of 2010. With those new orders, I have a new mailing address:

"History is continuing to take place. Iraqi Army and Police forces are taking greater control of their country, and I am in position to document the decision makers. I have not forgotten my studies as I will be taking one class available through eCore.
"I will continue to stay in touch.
