This one is for your inner numbers/map geek: Mapping America: Every City, Every Block on the New York Times Web site.

The interactive map uses data from the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey.

Type in a zip code to see racial and ethnic breakdowns. Float your mouse across the screen to see outlines of census blocks. The “View More Maps” tab lets you see income, housing and family, and education information. Have fun!
