UWG’s Opera Workshop Presents “Charlie Brown”
Come to Kathy Cashen Recital Hall for “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” on Oct. 6 at 8:15 p.m. and on Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Dr. Larry Frazier directs. Free.
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
UWG’s Department of Theare presents “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” at the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts. There is a preview on Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m. The preview will be free for UWG students, $3 for everyone else.
The show runs from Oct. 5 though Oct. 9. Performances from Oct. 5-8 are at 7:30 p.m. There will also be matinees on Oct. 8 and Oct. 9 at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets for the regular performances: Free to UWG students with ID; $7, seniors; $10, adults.
Caribbean Sound at the Townsend
Caribbean Sound performs at the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. The band plays traditional calypso, contemporary classics and original compositions for the steel pan and World Music. The music of Caribbean Sound is grounded in classical and Jazz traditions combined with years of cultural research of Caribbean rhythms. It’s Almost Time for Halloween
Carve on the Quad and Safe Treat return to campus on Friday, Oct. 28, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Haunted House will be on Saturday, Oct. 29, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the HPE Gym.
