How Do You See the World?
Dr. Christine Simmonds-Moore, an assistant psychology professor, is embarking on a study of synesthesia, the mixing of senses. She’s hoping to better understand how synesthesia relates to ESP, imagination and unusual occurrences such as out-of-body experiences. MORE

Local Civil War History on Display
Faded letters, daguerreo- types and 19th century sheet music are under glass at the Ingram Library. They are just a slice of the library’s special collections and represent a local connection to the Civil War. Also on display is salvage from the sunken warship, the CSS Nashville. MORE

Taking on Health Care Challenges
This spring, the Psychology department initiates its Integrated Health Studies certificate program. The largely online program will prepare students who already have bachelor’s degrees for the rapidly expanding field that incorporates mainstream medicine with alternative forms of healing. MORE
