International Night Promises Delights
This is the 26th year of International Night, an evening of food, music, dance, demos and fun. Food prepared by students and faculty will represent more than four dozen countries. This year features a couple of new things -- a martial arts demonstration in T’ai chi Ch’uan Kung fu and a nunchaku exhibition. Poetry readings plus music and dance from Africa, the Caribbean, Spain and China will round out the evening. International Night is Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. in Z-6. General admission is $8, $7 for children under 12 and $5 for students with a UWG ID. Part of the proceeds will be donated to support Haiti. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the International Services and Programs Office in Row Hall, Room 229, in the West Wing or from an international student. Tickets will be sold at the door until sold out.

The holiday season is over, but one upcoming UWG tradition offers up a tasty celebration in February. The International Student Club invites the University of West Georgia community on a one-night trip around the world. It’s a chance to embrace other cultures and examine the diversity all around us.
