I Am UWGHope Udombon
What I really do: I improve lives through graduate education every day. Years at UWG: Four. Before UWG, I: Was at Kennesaw State University for 10 years. One thing I would change about UWG: Provide more parking. I was born in: Omaha, Nebraska. Family members are: I am blessed with a wonderful husband Emmanuel, and our children Destine (13), Grayson (11), and Crystal (8). People describe me as: Calm, compassionate, upbeat, and driven. Most colleagues don’t know that: I like to dance. Favorite things to do: Sing, cook, read, and travel. Favorite quote: “The just shall live by faith.” Pet peeve: Walking faster than the person walking with you. Best advice ever received: Be kind to others. Best advice for new faculty and staff: Have a mentor and enjoy the friendships you have. What I most want to contribute to students: Increase their passion for learning and help them know they can become what they dream about. The book everyone should read: The 5 Levels of Leadership: Proven Steps to Maximize Your Potential by John Maxwell. The place I’d love to travel to where I haven’t been yet: Hawaii. Although you didn’t ask, I’d like to tell you anyway: I am the King's daughter.
