UWG Jazz Ensemble

   

 

The University of West Georgia Jazz Ensemble has performed with such notable jazz musicians as Bobby Shew, Chris Vadala, Jerry Coker,
Steve Wiest, Rob McConnell, Gary Foster, Lew Soloff, Marvin Stamm, Giacomo Gates, West Georgia's own Mariano Pacetti, and others. The band performs each semester and at the end of the year takes a performing tour throughout the Southeast. In the spring of 2001 the group went
on a performing tour of Germany and Austria. The ensemble serves as the resident band for the annual Sunbelt Jazz Festival.
