"Last Friday was an interesting day. We got to use electricity-powered laptops, and they were from the school! We had to copy our seed folk's measurement from a real plant into excel. It was a fun project. It was kind of hard to keep the real plant alive of cores. We used a ruler every day to see if it grew, and yup you guess it, right it did. It grew about 15 millimeters each day. So if you want to try it, go ahead. In addition, that's why it was the best day ever." |
| "I think that the activity we did with Dr. B was really fun. My favorite thing was making the charts. I also liked typing in the growth pattern for the mung beans. It was kind of confusing moving a finger along the pad to move the cursor. I hope that we will use the laptops this Friday, and I hope we wil make a new kind of chart." |

"On Friday we worked on an excel experiment on laptops with Dr. Baylen. When we work, we made bar and pie charts. The names we put on the bar chart was Tony, Mike, Susan and Bob. Under the names we put numbers on our chart. Our seed experiment was the second thing we did. We put soil, water and sand and we put numbers under them. That's what we did with Dr. Baylen on Friday." |
| "What we did with doctor Baylen was we made charts on the computers. We all got laptops except 4 people -- me, Joel, Tyler and Makayla. It was a lot of fun because we got to wait for everyone while they had to log on the internet. Then in Excel we made a chart about our mung beans after that with the names of Bob, Susan and Mike. Last, we saved our programs on our names. All in all it was fun." |

"Last Friday, Dr. B came with small, light blue laptops for us. First, we all got in pairs and clicked on excel. Next, we filed the data from our Mung bean experiment in a chart. Then, we made a new chart on sheet two, we filled it with names and days, and numbers. After, we made a bar and line graph with all our data. Last, we clicked on file save, file exit, and special shutdown. All in all, Friday was the best day ever!" |
| "What we did on Friday with Dr. B. One thing we did is work with the computer program called Excel. Second, we re-wrote our chart for the MUNG BEAN experiment. Then we made our chart, then we put it into a Bar graph and a scale form. All in all I had a great time and educational lesson with DR. B." |
