EME 6425 Technology for School Leaders (3 credits)
Provides future school administrators and educational leaders experiences that enhance their conceptual understanding of how technology support teaching practices, learning processes, and management tasks. It also expects students to demonstrate and apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills of appropriate hardware and software applications towards an effective delivery of a school-based curriculum. Provides an overview of media and technology in education and issues of integration of technology. The course will survey theoretical issues and trends in educational technology and impact on selection, design, utilization, and evaluation of instructional media. EDF 6284 Tools and Processes for Instruction (3 credits)
Focuses on providing hands-on experience given several models of systematic design of instruction. Topics include identifying instructional problems, conducting audience, learner and task analysis, developing instructional strategies, evaluating appropriate media to support effective instruction, comparison and implementation of instructional design models, and a simulated instructional design experience.
