Distance Education Center Enrollment Report 1995-2000
Distance enrollment (those using a distance technology 51% or more of instruction time) has risen an average of 20% each fiscal year. Meanwhile, enrollment in non-distance courses using WebCT less than 50% of instruction time and also supported by the DE Center, has risen exponentionally; more than tripling from 660 in '97-'98 to 2343 in '98-'99 and then more than doubling to total 5371 in '99-'00 (see Table 1 below).
Moreover, non-distance enrollment for this Fall Semester 2000 alone, will total 4648 -that's nearly as much as all of the '99-'00 year-long total of 5371.
