Lodging
The
grand tradition of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel
began
a century
ago, when it was founded as an
exclusive
retreat for members of America's highest
society.
Today, where Morgan, Pulitzer, Rockefeller and Vanderbilt once came to
relax, discerning visitors may enjoy the same unique combination of
natural
beauty and elegant architecture, private
amenities
and personal service.
The
hotel boasts a historic past. In the late 1880s, Jekyll Island became a
winter retreat for America's wealthiest, including the Rockefellers,
Pulitzers,
and Morgans. The Jekyll Island Club was considered to be to be the most
exclusive club in the world, and its membership possessed one-sixth of
the world's wealth. Visits by these wealthy citiziens led to historical
events at the Club, including the formation of the Federal Reserve
System
(1910), and the first transcontinental phone call (1915).
All
conference meetings will be held at the four-star Jekyll Island Club
Hotel.
A block of guest rooms have been reserved, starting at $129. These will
be held until filled or until May 1. When making room reservations,
