Question 25: What suggestions would you make for future on-line courses?

·         can not think of any.

·         The teacher teaching what he will put on the test not a recording with power point that say what we already read in the book.

·         Do not teach this class online if it is intended for an audience of on-campus students. If you teaching online do it please but not just as a face to face. I really like taking classes online and I will still take them.

·         A more descriptive process chart naming the chapters and videos needed to watch.

·         This course and professor are great for online classes.

·         Hopefully they will be cheaper

·         That when they are partial online classes they should meet once a week and not just to take test. and the instructor needs to be more available and clear about what he/she wants from their students.

·         Allow more clarity

·         There should be a link or online chat support for students dealing with problems do to the instructor.

·         more willing professor

·         n/a

·         None.

·         none

·         A more open availability given for assessments for those who work and cannot take the test during the hours of 5am and 10pm only for one day in this particular choice!

·         I have no suggestions.

·         Maybe a small amount of homework whether it is counted for a grade or not, just so that studying could be more effective if we have some type of practice questions.

·         N/A

·         On-line classes are great, offers flexibility and you are actually able to take more classes because there is no overlapping of classes.

·         Those skills do require typing and spelling correctly which is far from what the students have received for their purchasing of this class. I have spent much unnecessary time dissecting what your professor was trying to say and ask in all his typos and misspelled words! Is that a waste of my time and money? Yes, indeed it is. It is ridiculous to have to decipher such mistakes while only given a minuscule amount of time to take his so called quizzes. While he did apologize for his blunder, this form of trying to make things better is unacceptable to me. The right thing for him to do is correct his blunder immediately and let us retake the examination. UWG, you need to read some of the questions from this examination. Some of the questions are an absolute joke and completely unnecessary as well as having NOTHING to do with Anthropology. With such blundersas this UWG, it is astonishing to me as to the reason why you are using my money to employ this so called professor.

·         I would suggest posting an announcement on CourseDen of upcomming quiz/tests.

·         None at the moment.

·         none

·         I consider an online course as being an alternative to campus classes and giving oppotunity to individuals that have a tight schedule a chance to get a degree, this class offered very little give room when it came to what time a quiz was due opposed to what the syllabus stated, ie. Quiz due Oct. 24-26 but in reality it was only open on Oct.24. Which is ok but I think the syllabus should match so a student knows what to expect and plan accordingly.

·         To make sure teachers quizzes cover the curriculum and not personal 'opinions' of topics.

·         To have to professor be more available.

·         The video quality in the Roman Clips seriously needs to be revised and/or rethought. Also, the grading rubric for discussions could use a little revision.

·         None.

·         I would like to see a chart of my grade progress.

·         I wish that there were units to complete for each section with smaller assignments. It's frustrating to have a few difficult assignments instead of more smaller ones. The structure is haphazard and it's easy to miss assignments. If there was more structure and clear day-to-day work, it would be easier to keep track of, and not so easy to put off. I usually love to take online classes, but this system does not work for me.

·         Nothing. It was great.

·         There are no suggestions to be made.

·         n/a

·         More attempts and work that was lost due o the online course be brought back in its same form.

·         use a different way to show the ppts and videos

·         More awardness notes and more learning tools and information

·         To be more user friendly and not so many glitches.

·         I would not suggest taking an online class to be honest, but for future references I would definitely try to lower the amount of work needed for an online class.

·         more help

·         More hotlinks.

·         A steady balance of in-class and online classes.

·         make sure the teacher has more than just a basic training of computers. The teacher cannot help the students if she does not know how the computers work.

·         n/a

·         Space out the workload evenly.

·         have all homework on site long before it is due

·         None at the moment.

·         be more specific about how todo the project

·         Good Luck

·         none really

·         none.

·         The teacher should promptly email her students back when emailed. The teacher should not be rude with or talk down to people who cannot attend the chats because of other obligations.

·         more interactive

·         Make more classes available online

·         can not think of any

·         LoL

·         Change the homework

·         No changes everything was fine.

·         None, I thought this class was great!

·         n/a

·         Just keep them partially online. Also, I would be upset if all of my courses were online. I enjoy interacting face to face. If I wanted an entirely online University, they are out there. I chose UWG so that I could have the face-to face time.

·         None.

·         I know this is not an easy request, but please make it more Mac friendly.  At least try and support one browser for Mac users.

·         I enjoy them the way they are.

·         I would suggest to make the courses 100% online.

·         I am very pleased with the way West GA does their online courses

·         More creative use of online tools should be considered.

·         Have an iPad app.

·         Nothing,

·         I can't give any suggestions.

·         I'm not sure.

·         Meeting live on-line is helpful and provides a way to connect with the professor to gain from their knowledge. At least every other week synchronous is helpful.

·         make sure not all courses in a degree program are online. Maybe only half.

·         Give people options on whether they want to take face-to-face or if they want to take the course on-line.

·         N/A

·         Just be clear on the discussion board due dates with actual dates, rather than Tuesday or Sunday. :)

·         Continue to offer them especially for people pursuing graduate degrees because they are more likely to be employed and it makes it easier to not have to drive to the campus several times a week.

·         Give a face-to-face crash course about all the technology (i.e. Courseden) prior to classes and assignments are due.  This way for if new students have issues with there accounts that will give plenty of time to fix the problem. This will reduce the anxiety.

·         Make sure professors are comfortable with the online interface. This prof was not at all comfortable and only held one wimba class session - and she did not use the video link for that one.  Professors need to be taught how to conduct online classes - how to give a presentation to a camera through which they reach their students.  This is a skill that is neither intuitive nor easy to master, yet it makes a huge difference in the success of an online class.  Professors need to be required to actually meet with their classes online a minimum amount of time during the semester or to have online office hours during which they are logged into a wimba room and available for student inquiries.

·         N/A

·         Having help guides readily available to assist us when lost.

·         At the beginning of the cohort it would be very beneficial to have a tutorial of sorts (maybe at the 'Meet and Greet').

·         More frequent Wimba classroom meetings.

·         None

·         Explain things better.

·         for the teacher to have more office hours so that students can see them throughout the week instead of two days.

·         none

·         make more classes available online

·         none

·         I would have like a schedule of days that would be optional or mandatory (based  on instructor) for people to attend to and ask any questions on how to do something. Expecially in the challenging sections, like excel.

·         nthn ***** is an graet teacher

·         can not think of any

·         LoL

·         Have all of the materials up sooner.

·         For the future, I would say that the professors need to be more interactive with students.

·         For the instructor to know that the material doesn't come as easily to us as it does to him so we need help sometimes.

·         I do not think i would suggest anything i think it is a good way to allow people to take more classes especially when they work and go to school like i do.

·         N.A

·         none

·         Make sure you have all necessary programs on your computer to complete the course.

·         Get better computer programs and get teachers that understand how to help their students not screw them over.

·         start on your assignments ahead of time

·         Provide detailed explanations of scores.

·         nothing

·         For the professor to recognize that sometimes it is truly easy to overlook an assignment even when one is trying their best.

·         None

·         WebCT needs to be updated for windows 7.

·         Just that the formatting be better for Apple computers as well as pc.

·         more interactive

·         Get a cheaper book

·         nothing

·         Add more online course

·         More online lecture with video like Dr. **** had. Really a great feature.

·         Just remember to sign on daily to see if anything changes or is added. Dates that are required is definitely a big key!

·         Keep up the good work. Someone like me will definitely take an online class again as long as it is available.

·         I have no suggestions at this time.  My experience with on-line courses have been very positive.

·         Making sure the professor allows time to actually be a part of the course instead of just getting it all done at the end of the semester.

·         n/a

·         Better organization and clarity.

·         N/A

·         none.

·         I highly recommend that the class meet at least three times in a class room to help lower confusion. BHave it broken up into (3) parts beginning middle and close to the end. To help the student feel more on track.

·         Make more classes available online.

·         No suggestions at this time.  I have had positive experiences with on-line learning so far.

·         More teaching instruction and better deadlines

·         To be more clear with assignment and have longer deadlines.

·         Always stay consistent.

·         Overall good. Grades being delivered back to the students in a shorter period of time would be nice.

·         Have two classes during the semester that students attend. That way everyone can stay caught up and have a better understanding of what's going on.

·         better professors and cleaer directions

·         More links to materials, maybe a skype chat with teachers.

·         Future on-line courses should begin to use Googledocs, which allows for collaborative work within groups. Professors should use that to their advantage!

·         I would suggest that the server be improved so that it does not log out or quit working on you as you are taking a quiz.

·         None.

·         A lot of professors try to make the class harder because it is online. I found this class to be enjoyable and valuable because the focus was on showing how you know the material. This was achieved by writing assignments and test/quizzes. This way you could not fake if you knew the material, and made you really enjoy the lessons.

·         nothing

·         Have more courses available

·         Professors should be as involved as Professor****** was in this course.

·         lectures by professors

·         I would suggest new testing sytems so students may go back and check their work and change their answers if they need to.

·         Some sort of lecture-not just strictly reading.

·         Stay ahead and dont get behind

·         To make sure they are capable of using the computer...

·         Stay ahead & dont get behind

·         Develop a set 'universal' pattern by which to navigate to quizzes, discussions, etc on CourseDen. I had three different online courses via CoursDen and there was very little continuity in how the content of each course was arranged in relation to one another.

·         Make them cheaper!!! It doesn't cost the university as much to have online classes so why make it more expensive for us?

·         More clear instructions and step by step learning procedures rather than throwing all the content at the student at once.

·         I would rather the responses be excluded from the class. If we would like to respond it should be voluntary otherwise people make arguments they might not necessarily believe in.

·         Information should be made available PRIOR to classes beginning (as in availability of instructor prior to classes starting for a semester).

·         Maybe find a different way to calculate attendance/participation other than discussions where we have to rely on our classmates completing their work as well.

·         Stay ahead & dont get behind

·         Go ask ***** how to do it. She is great!

·         continue to expand our department!!

·         Not be so strict on time limits for quizzes or tests.

·         None.

·         Stay ahead & dont get behind

·         study a little every day

·         More time to take test

·         Notify students that an on-campus class has been switched to an online class sooner than one week-prior to classes beginning.

·         I have no more suggestions for this course, everything that I would suggest is already completed.

·         give more time to quizs or give more trials

·         None.

·         Stated. Change it or remove the class.

·         Completely online courses without face to face tests and without being e-core classes are very helpful for single parents.

·         I would not ask for anything better. Everything, the syllabus and the assistance was perfect.

·         Offer more courses online.

·         Make sure the students know way before hand if the on-line course requires a textbook and or software for your computer.

·         nothing

·         That the directions for each assignment be improved and not be so vague, as well as the professors learn to answer questions one on one without sending the students to the tutoring lab, we come to them for a reason; they are supposed to know what they are talking about.

·         none

·         More student-teacher interaction

·         More of the them offered.

·         E-mail reminders for duedates

·         Make the quizzes 15 minutes instead of 10.

·         Maybe the teacher actually communicate with the students at least once.

·         more interaction from the teacher.

·         Nothing really

·         none

·         proof read some of the quiz questions and make sure the question has a clear and definite answer on each one

·         None

·         Maybe an update of grade average after every assignment to keep student up-to-date on their progress.

·         Being able to communicate with instructor other than waiting for an emailed response.

·         give distance in quiz times.

·         Maybe the teacher should be more available. He stated us to NOT email him. I didn't think talking to other students or people who were not my teacher were necessary.

·         do your work stay focused and tuned in to your assignments in the course

·         That the due date stuff should be more visible, should have a email weekly telling you what you have due at the end of the week.

·         Professors be more involved.

·         More teacher student interaction

·         none

·         I like being able to do my assignments at my own pace, but I would like better suggestions on when and where to access the information for preparing for assignments and quizes.

·         Better directions and more personal communication.

·         longer dates to do work

·         Be more like this one, displaying all assignments the first day of classes.

·         Allow adequate time to complete assignments

·         Make sure it is a subject easily understood and able to be taught to oneself.

·         Keep adding them, I will keep taking them!

·         Right now really nothing, I didn't have a problem where it was a concern I wanted handle.

·         N/A

·         I think the online assignments should have more details on how to complete them because the book does not help.  It is great for the quizzes, but for assignments, the book doesn't help at all.

·         None

·         Maybe less quizzes

·         none

·         I would like for this course to be less demanding. The books are expensive. This course isn't hard. Even though I made an A I wish we met in an actual classroom.

·         Communication better with students.

·         Post how much the materials will cost before the student starts the course.

·         I don't really have any suggestions.  The class is organized well and easy to follow.  It is very self-explanatory and allows for you to do well as long as you work hard.  I feel like I did learn a good bit about how to use all that a computer has to offer.  Good class!

·         More teacher interaction with students online.

·         only suggestion i have is find teachers who are more willing to help online students and wil not only be in their offices once  week.

·         Perhaps more contact from the instructor to make it more personal. I would like to see more interaction with the students as well (discussion boards).

·         I wish the textbook was online like the class.

·         none.

·         none

·         just log on everyday

·         N/A

·         N/A

·         Be able to have regular office hours with the professor. Instead of doing everything online be able to ask a person if you need help.

·         none

·         Just make sure the directions are as clear as possible.

·         A better professor and student relationship

·         it is an awesome class and i would really recommend taking it

·         My suggestion would be that there is more to choose from.

·         None :)

·         Make sure you make a calendar with all the due dates!

·         Nothing.

·         This class was designed quite thoroughly.

·         We have to learn 4 environments very quickly. MPL, Course Website, Eclipse, and Java.  If I had no prior CS background, I would have been lost and very overwhelmed.

·         Changes are up to the professor.

·         My only suggestion is to make sure that students have a clear understanding about what is going on in the classroom when they are not attending class regularly.

·         None...this was the most efficient online course I have ever taken.

·         To not put so much busy work on there.

·         Don't use journals that we have to pay for or go to the library and get off of a microfilm.  I have never wasted so much time in my life.

·         The instructor was very helpful and always available so I did not feel I was left out there to figure it our for myself.

·         None

·         WebCT needs to be updated for Windows 7

·         I do not have any suggestions at this time.

·         See # 25.  Have quizzes/tests open more than 13 hours.

·         Make students aware of the price of any materials ahead of time.

·         The instructor had a power point presentation with her talking about what was on the page but if there was a video of a board and the instructor doing a problem and talking about it at the same time I feel I would get a better grasp of the concepts.  Dr. **** is an excellent example of this.  I watched him work out and explain problems and I understood what he was doing and why.

·         For professors to check their messages daily!

·         Get rid of Blackboard.  It's the worst software I've ever dealt with.

·         Make sure that instructors are aware of all of the capabilities of WIMBA.  This class used Skype to meet with each other but I have had other classes that have used WIMBA which enables more users on at one time.

·         My financial aid was slow being received on my HigherOne Card which made me have to wait too long on my books. I felt behind in the beginning b/c I did not have my books.

·         Dr. ***** set up the course the right way-use his class as an example of how effective online courses are structured and taught

·         none...oh the availability down times caught me a few times

·         I suggest the use of more online class sessions lead by the instructor with video.

·         Having a back-up site so maintenance can be done without hindering students from turning in assigned work.

·         Thi is a great class, I would recommend it to friends.

·         more projects that can be used in the working classroom

·         None. The instructor had the material well organized.

·         I would like for UWG to understand that not every person learns in the same manner. Online classes only instruct to one learning style. Education is more about relationships that build understanding and meaning. A computer can not equal a true teacher.

·         Have times next to videos so you know how long they are.

·         Encourage instructors to use the course management system available and not to use other sites like Wiki's.  When multiple classes are taken, having to log onto different websites is cumbersome, confusing and time-consuming.

·         Having an online checklist would be helpful.  Dr. *****provided a checklist but it was integrated with the LMS.  It would really be better to all components of the class integrated in one place with one sign-on.

·         Videos posted in a different format.  Instructor utilize the microsoft word components that allow comments to be made electronically instead of mailing them via snail mail

·         Instructors need training in best uses for online courses.

·         Perhaps more face to face opportunities via Skype, etc.

·         Consistency of format.  MywebCT, Wiki, Wimba, Skype, Oncourse, etc. get to be too many passwords and formate.

·         A more interactive approach to the delivery would have helped me learn the concepts; power points, video, web searches, etc.

·         If you have videos, tell how long each one is. Keep the design consistent across courses to increase the ease of use for students.

·         Keep to one format, preferably Course Den since it is the course management system provided.

·         Everything should be available through one LMS.

·         Limited the number resources per module

·         Eliminate the wiki. Streamline the course layout so that all information is consistent in all locations.

·         Instructions for various course related assignments should be centralized to one convenient location.

·         maybe a few online course chats with other students and professors

·         More contact with professor in order to hear his point of view on some of the topics.  He guided and facilitated us well. overall.  I really enjoyed the class and learned a tremendous amount.

·         The scaffolding of the material was not helpful in learning the objectives. The activities and resources provided were wonderful but the scoop and sequence seemed scattered and disconnected

·         Put times next to the movies so we know how long they are to better manage our time.

·         Keep as much in course den as possible, since it is the provided course management system.  Not having to post work in multiple places.

·         Make sure the instructors have had Professional Development in instruction of online courses.  Further, hold instructors accountable for following through with best practices for online learning.  For example: Make a policy that email requests or questions should get a response within 24 hours during the weekdays.

·         All assignments and modules laid out from day one so that I can see what is expected for the entire term. Regularly scheduled help hours for teachers and students.

·         Training for those who teach online.

·         More videos at the first of the course

·         Better response to questions- more clear answers and faster responses to questions.

·         I utilized the actual textbook far more than the online version from Atomic Dog.  However, I did utilize their quizzes.  I would have liked to see some notes on their online text from our own instructor; it would have helped us make a connection with the instructor.  I would have liked more online classes where we were able to talk and have the instructors walk us through examples. This was by far the most challenging course in my educational career.

·         Get rid of Webct.

·         Most of it was very useful, especially the videos that taught us step-by-step what to do on spss. My only recommendation is to be more conscious of technological failures, like when some of the wiki modules weren't accessible and we had to wait. I like to stay on schedule as much as possible, so when certain assignments were extended because the portals opened late it slightly threw me off. Overall, the course was great! I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially getting to know my group members and working collaboratively with them throughout the course.

·         Offer a tutorial for 'newbies' at the beginning of a cohort.

·         I had major problems with my professor. While taking my online midterm I discovered that some of the questions had incorrect answers selected as the 'correct' answer. When I asked my professor about this and requested to meet her in person to go over the exam, she refused. She said she would not be on-campus again. When I said I could meet her anywhere, she refused again. She told me I still had a very good chance of getting an 'A' and that I should just let it go. I saved these emails because I would like to share them with the Dean of Education.

·         I don't know.

·         More active participation from the instructor in a timely fashion would be helpful.

·         that teacher makes sure she or he is going to post something when they say they are going to.

·         They are great!

·         Organization

·         None

·         This instructor should never teach an online course again. It was a nightmare trying to get in touch with her, and for her to answer back to her students.

·         For it to be a requirement for UWG to reevaluate instructors who don't fit their position. Some of these instructors you people @ UWG have employed is a poor way to spend my money!

·         Let the instructor provide more than one way to send work. I accidently sent a paper under the wrong title and could not resubmit the work under the right title.

·         Be sure that the teacher has a well organized page & is very familiar with how to operate the site.

·         i dont know enough about them to make any suggestions. i like a classroom setting myself and dont mind doing assignments or taking tests online but i like to meet at least once a week to  have questions and issues taken care of.

·         Just to have the professor check in more often with the class online to remind us her presence is there.

·         I think professors who are willing to answer questions with out getting mad or frustrated is key. I was truly offended by the way Dr. *****treated my on several occasions.

·         Offer more of them - especially for Education Majors - the school needs to be more flexible with older students coming back to school.  The College of Education is not flexible and doesn't seem to care about their older students who have jobs and families - I've be advised to quit working so I can finish school - UWG seriously needs to re-evaluate the way their programs are set up and start accommodating the needs of ALL their students.

·         Better organization

·         Add them, I will take them

·         Keep a schedule posted of due dates. This class was well-organized. I knew what was expected of me.

·         I do not really have any complaints or suggestions

·         Nothing

·         no group work

·         More classes offered online.

·         Less topics on the powerpoints, but go more in depth

·         more face to face meetings

·         that she tries to understand life happen .. things happen

·         There should not be online courses.  They are always silly.  Busy work is the same phrase as online class.

·         none

·         More thorough explanations and visible due dates that we dont have to struggle to find.

·         Maybe have live online classes if possible.

·         The articles out of the book could be more interesting.

·         Offer more classes onling!

·         None

·         Everything was great but make sure all of the provided links work correctly.

·         none.

·         For who ever teach the class next semester update the modules.

·         Some of the other professors do some lecture video because it helps as well as his problem videos that explained everything.

·         I suggested that it should keep having sample problem or announcement to help and let us know how to do it or what we need to do.

·         I don't have any suggestions. The class was wonderful.

·         Not as many questions for the amount of time to complete.

·         make classes cheaper

·         no suggestions

·         Better exam layouts.

·         Just make sure that you clearly write out the questions on the exams. Otherwise all online classes should be like this one!

·         I think this course was constructed well. No change.

·         nothing

·         N/A

·         Just more time on the quizes, not much more maybe 15 more min. and be able to go back to other questions after looking at it.

·         The ability to review or skip a question and be able to come back since the test is timed.

·         This course is actually a model for what on-line courses should be. Expectations are spelled out from the beginning, and the process is the same throughout the semester with no changes.

·         Maybe add discussion questions where the class can discuss certain aspects of the lectures.

·         have a couple in class discussions to help students.

·         Keep i simple and easy to access.

·         That we have an optional face to face meeting once a month for any questions we may have.

·         Add them, I love them and want to take more!

·         Nothing.

·         More online classes available!

·         Ensure that each chapter test or other instructor composed material, notwithstanding, is proofread and free of errors.

·         the one video of the semester was very helpful. a few more videos would help for a greater understanding of the unit

·         Keep up the good work.

·         n/a

·         Check your online course everyday.

·         Make the test time longer.

·         the professors should actually check their mail

·         Make all the tests/quizzes on the same difficulty level.

·         none

·         Just to understand time flexibility.  This class did just that by allowing us to finish early.  I did not have many other classes and could get ahead.

·         I like how there were multiple instructors in this couse, I think that might be a good way to set-up online classes.

·         None.

·         To be mostly online but meet in class on occasion

·         None.

·         More documents or papers for extra credit rather than having to go somewhere or pay for something, I do have other classes and commitments and all the extra credit seemed to interfere with one or the other.

·         If e.c assignments are given, it would be nice to have a mix for those that strictly do online courses.

·         Keep offering classes online.

·         None.

·         To be as organized about their material and how to complete their assignments as this one was.

·         adding the email function

·         n/a

·         Let students know upfront way before a assignment is due if the need a textbook, or software to do it. Also make sure the material and assignments are given in an organized way.

·         Be flexible about deadlines.

·         Do not let Professor **** teach all online courses. He never emails back answers to questions in reasonable time. He is lazy and technologically impaired. He doesn't know how to answer our questions most of the time.

·         I would suggest that the instructor be required to get involved in the class online. I understand this particular teacher is an instructor on campus, so maybe his time is stretched thin, but we're paying more for an online course and I feel we should get at least some attention in the form of regular postings, topics for discussion, etc. He posted not 1 single topic in the entirety of this course. It has been an extreme disappointment.

·         My only complaint was how expensive the course and associated fees were compared to on-campus classes.

·         Book too expensive.

·         None other than to limit crazy people posting in the main area.  I can't imagine who in their right mind could possibly think you could have a course and not buy books and then feel angry when told they have to buy books for the course!  I honestly would rather not have read all that garble and wasted all those minutes of my life.

·         Clearer instructions

·         I would spice up some of the topics or choice of subject material we can use.

·         For the teacher to be on top of things and help whoever needed.

·         I would like to see videos with announcements and things with her face on it and better formats for asignments

·         I would make sure all quizzes had at least 2 attempts allowed.

·         I would like to make no changes to any of the online courses I have taken this semester.

·         To have professors like ***** run the class.

·         I wouldn't make any, I like it as it is.

·         Nothing the class is just fine the way it is. She is a great professor I would strongly recommend her to future students.

·         n/a

·         I would like to see a few of the discussions in the form of a video from the instructor. However, with this particular online coarse LIBR 1101, I did not feel the need for video instruction. I felt like everything was explained in an understandable manner and whatever questions that were not clear they were answered within an email within hours. But for other online learning classes that I have taken, the assignments are not very clear and should consider using video demonstration of the material or the assignments.

·         more time on quizzes and test and also enough to review questions before turning them in.

·         none keep doing what you are doing

·         Everything was sufficient.

·         I suggest that the instructors be of more assistance when it pertains to questions/concerns that need to be addressed, focus on what exactly you are teaching, and make sure every assignment is posted in a timely manner so that we (as a class) don't get behind.

·         Make them more interesting.

·         None!

·         I do not have any suggestions for this class, my class was great and my teacher was very helpful.

·         I might make the system have an area where the student can save their files. It can be nerve racking to think you could possibly lose an assignment.

·         Make sure assignment instructions are clearly written to avoid confusion.

·         Not much, maybe try having more practice questions for the first quiz.

·         Have due dates the same day  of every week for assignments.

·         An e-mail, or something along the lines should be sent to teach people and inform students how to use the program.

·         I have no suggestions, it was fine.

·         send reminders to student's school email account to remind student of upcoming assignments

·         None.

·         none

·         Make more classes available on-line.

·         Make sure you check your class online each day

·         more assignments

·         None

·         None

·         nothing.

·         Explain more.

·         Make sure the links work!

·         organized study groups

·         Mid-term and final be given online

·         I would suggest that instructors be properly trained on how to use EVERY tool that is available on CourseDen.

·         Allow distance procotoring or exam/test taking from home.

·         make it cheaper

·         Better teaching material

·         at least one face to face meeting

·         More details on how to figure out the problems.

·         For math courses, have something like my MyMath Lab would really help.

·         I would suggest the power points be changed from the book material to how she teaches her actual class.  Make the power points with the examples worked in class.  It gives a better understanding when you can see an actual problem worked out.

·         None applicable here, except that the survey questions should reflect more the course and not the same old questions, some of which do not relate to my experience.

·         Make the course more interactive.

·         There needs to be a standard for how online courses are taught.  Just because a class is online does not mean the professor then doesn't have to do anything but tell you to read from a book. There should be more feedback and more communication since there is not face to face instruction happening.

·         feedback on work. what did we do wrong? why are points being taken off?

·         I have no idea.

·         Added supplemental activity. Maybe practice examples worked out. It is very hard to teach yourself math topics from a book that was written in 1979.

·         More organization, notes/examples, something other than read and do....the book wasn't very user friendly itself...

·         I will like to see many courses offered on-line

·         Yes

·         None.

·         I don't think computer courses can be as effective when offered online.

·         I would suggest that you make more classes/courses available.

·         i would like for their to be a mandatory face to face meeting. where students could get to know each other and the teacher

·         alert a head of time the closing of site

·         The syllabus should have a list of dates that each assignment is due. It would help students that use a calendar throughout the semester better schedule their time.

·         There seems to be more work involved in an online course.  When taking more than 5 classes, the work load for an online course isn't worth the expense involved with taking the online course.  I would prefer to take a course in a classroom to eliminate the 'busy work' that is involved with taking an online course.

·         Make the classes more user friendly.  And in class tutorials will definitely be necessary.  Also organization is key to success in the online portion of the class, on both the student and teacher side.

·         Choice of print media instead of power point with audio (pod cast).

·         I would suggest working on some of the group work aspects. I agree that it is very important to work in groups over the web, but there has to be some tweak somewhere that will allow for a better experience. Sadly, I can't put my finger on what tweak that would be.

·         Anyone taking MEDT should take *****! She's the best!

·         to make sure you have enough time to do them

·         Have assignments and instructions written also if given in video format

·         Nothing, but I suggest the option of online with the whole degree program, because I loved it and I am sure everyone else did too!

·         Nothing.

·         I would just make changes to the group activities. It is really hard to work on group assignments when you do not know the people you are working with. Also, contacting them was stressful.

·         maybe not having online group assignment

·         Meet at least three times a semester

·         Don't let Dr. ***** do them.

·         Make an announcement when making changes to software.

·         Please keep new system upgrades and enhancements to a minimum!  It is very difficult to keep up with all the new technology platforms, versions of this or that, in addition to our regular course content.  Too often, I have had to spend more time learning technology than my concentration area.

·         Make certain the professor says on top of things in the class and that instructions for online submissions are clear.

·         Instructors should give more feedback for students in online courses

·         Make sure the professor knows what feedback is and how to use it!

·         A course like this should be taught in classroom setting.

·         Get rid of BlackBoard!!!!  It is an awful interface when dealing with classes and turning in assignments.  Won't support most current (2011) internet browsers.

·         Professor should respond o emails more promptly.

·         The professors need to be available to you when you have problems or concerns.

·         The Face-To-Face Meetings are difficult for those of us that live over 100 miles away.  This is especially true when they are during the week and we have to work the next day.

·         I would suggest that course meetings take place around 7 pm.  Some people have to get to bed by 9pm!  Also, I would suggest that any face-to-fact meetings take place on Saturday mornings and not weekday nights.  It would be so much easier to drive on a weekend than during the work week.

·         this course was very beneficial

·         I would have felt better if there were a component that first time online students take to learn how the courses are set up.  I have extensive computer backgound and have even facilitated online courses and I was confused at times.

·         Continue the good organizational plan because that makes it so much easier to follow and to learn about the subject matter when you don't have to spend times looking for the materials needed.

·         I liked how things were due every Tuesday; maybe just look at the work load and remember that the majority of people taking this class are working over forty hours a week within a school system.

·         Please advise on-line students of parking regulations prior to requiring on campus classes.

·         Make the homepage a little more user friendly.

·         I really do not have any suggestions at this point. However, I am a little annoyed by having group work with classmates who did not take it very serious. I hope I can evalutate them on their effort.

·         I do not have any suggestions to add at this time.

·         make them online have recorded sessions rather than wimba

·         Organization is absolutely necessary for the teachers and the students.  Don't leave any question about what you want.  When you need it.  Allow us to ask questions and get feedback about whether we are on the right track concerning what we are doing.

·         More Wimba sessions.

·         yes

·         No suggestions.

·         All totally on-line courses in Fall and Spring. For some of us, traveling the long distance to campus during  the week is difficult. I have had to lose 3 vacation days this year to travel to campus. I believe each of these meetings could have been just as effective if completed in WEB CT.

·         More professors like Dr**** and Dr. ****...they both are clear and easy to follow. They are very well organized which helps me follow the class.

·         None

·         I would suggest that the assignment deadline be later.

·         N/A

·         Better communication with Wimba sessions.

·         Cut down on the 'extra fees'

·         offer more on line classes

·         I have no suggestions.

·         I don't have any.

·         More on line discussions.

·         All classes should be held on wimba

·         Less group work. It is hard to meet and discuss topics with students who live so far from you.

·         Make them totally on-line for students who have to commute so far.

·         NA

·         none

·         The Face-To-Face meetings are difficult for those of us that live over 100 miles away.  This is especially true when they are during the week and we have to work the next day.

·         None

·         N/A

·         I would like to have all modules available instead of in one-week increments.

·         n/a

·         An orientation to on-line learning would have been nice.  This was my first course and I was left to pretty much figure out everything on my own.  From what I understand, in the past an orientation course was given.  I would suggest this be re-instated.

·         A method of contact within 2 days....in other words being able to communicate with the professor in a timely manner.

·         n/a

·         None

·         None.

·         Nothing

·         I have found Course Den very easy to use...I would make no changes.

·         More online Wimba discussions for participation grades to eliminate some assignments.

·         none

·         Make sure that ALL professors are as prepared as Dr. ***  This was not the case for my other course.

·         none

·         quicker grade feedback

·         In the future, I might change the time/date for the Lesson Plan so that it is due in the middle of the course, and not at the end, to alleviate time constraints.

·         none

·         none to offer at this time.

·         Although face to face meetings can be hard for some who live further away.  Opportunities can still be made available to students.

·         Make sure the teacher uploads things in a timely manner. This teacher did but some of my others have not.

·         ****** should consult with all online instructors to show them how best to create an effective online course. The quality of this one was far beyond the others.

·         I very much enjoyed this course online, and the components all worked well. I don't see any necessary changes for it to be more successful.

·         Show the assignments and the  deadlines in a page blackboard instead of just the syllabus.

·         I think it would be a good idea for instructor to videotape lectures or talks and post it online.

·         No group projects or assignments.  This is difficult to manage when people cannot physically meet to communicate.

·         No suggestions as Dr. ******* was extremely thorough and helpful throughout the entire semester.

·         Students should read the syllabus carefully and know the due dates.

·         none

·         Make sure communication is top notch since there is only online communication.

·         No suggestions, I like every aspect of on-line courses.

·         Record lectures, demonstrations, etc.

·         no group work

·         allow assignments to be worked on earlier

·         Information should be presented at the onset of the course for all projects, all modules, everything you need to complete the course.  This would enable students to work as they are able.  It is way too much group work.  Options should be presented for assignments for learners to chose method of response, not all group work.  Examples should be given for assignments.  It is not acceptable to not provide tutorials, or step by step instructions.  Am I paying $!000 for You-tube or classes?  There is absolutely not one audio component.  All styles of learning should be included.

·         More audio/visual and multimedia lessons to present course material.

·         Students should have the freedom to choose whether they want to work in groups or individually.

·         none.

·         On-line classes should be laid out at the beginning of the semester so students can work at their own pace.  One of the values of an on-line class is that we can work ahead if our schedules don't leave us time in the upcoming days or weeks.  This was not possible for this class as assignments and projects (or further clarification of projects) often came with a one week notice.  Since a main focus of this class was HOW to present on-line content, including changing media, creating a movie, etc, the delivery of the class material would have been the perfect opportunity for the professor to model this kind of lesson.  However, lessons were not presented as she expected us to create them.  We had no guide to go by.

·         Put all assignments and directions in one spot on the site, eliminating some clicking around.

·         For group project, make modifications for collaboration or eliminate group projects.

·         Less discussions

·         I've found that Dr. *** & Dr. ****  classes are the most engaging of all the online courses I've taken. The instructional design is top notch and both professors quickly answer questions or concerns.

·         n/a

·         I enjoyed the current discourse on distance learning and a point counter point approach that addressed the subject from multiple perspectives that spanned pro and con.

·         None

·         Putting the course eval link in course den was helpful.

·         none

·         None

·         Would like for all on-line courses to as productive as this one. Thanks

·         Offer more options and course sections.

·         Offer the option to work with a group or individually in courses so that if someone needs the option to work alone, it is there.

·         more feedback on final projects

·         Web CT or Course Den, or Blackboard whatever it is that we're using, needs a lot of interface improvements. There should be version upgrades at least once every year.

·         The only thing that was a little hairy at times for me, was getting use to toggling between Course Den and the wikispace for the Henry County Project. I was a little confused at the beginning, but it fleshed itself out well the more the project went along.    Overall, I thought Dr. ***** gave me a FANTASTIC example of how to effectively set up a positive experience with online learning.

·         Model more like this one.

·         I think they should be modeled after this course.

·         Continue linking the courses with practical ways to apply the information taught online.

·         Showcase different media applications which could be used in the module creation before we create the module.  Often, we are just not aware something exists.

·         Offer more on line classes.

·         Eliminate Face to Face meetings

·         None, these are effective and convenient

·         Just because classes are online dont overcrowd us with busy work.

·         Keep up the good work Dr. *****!

·         Eliminate face to face meetings.

·         I believe that we could still understand the assignments without have to do so many. Possibly instead of everybody doing 3 original posts maybe have the students to sign up for one and have to make comments on a couple of others that they do not complete original posts.

·         For this particular course, more face-to-face meetings are an absolute must. Their were absolutely way too many assignments that were not explained well on the first night of class because he was trying to explain too many. I was lost from day one in this course.

·         I suggest the university or department ensure that sufficient online instructions are available to students taking the course. Not materials such as research from the Library, but instructions (or a manual) explaining basic online technologies.    Instructions should include 'how to' for the students working on assignments in the class. Not everyone taking a course has the same technologies or knowledge base needed to complete the assignment.

·         make course management simpler  wikis  blogs  we are all over the place

·         None at this time.

·         I have no

·         no face to face sessions

·         Make sure the server is working properly so it will not cause frustration for the students.

·         No suggestions

·         NA

·         better uploading capabilities

·         none

·         Try to make sure the server at UWG is up and students are able to upload their information to the server.

·         There seems to be more than one method of online face-to-face tools (Wimba, chatrooms, etc).  I wonder if the university shouldn't decide on one best method to limit confusion class by class.

·         No suggestions.

·         Releasing modules occasionally is ok, but if it involves bigger assignments that take more time to complete, they need to be released sooner. Also for people taking vacation, it would be nice to know what you need to have done so you can get ahead and not be behind or miss a submission while you're gone. Also, if there is a way to have project details all listed in the same place instead of details popping up in the discussion area, then another one popping up in email, and then another one listed on a wiki page, it would make it a lot easier to keep track all the requirements of assignments if they were all in relatively the same place.

·         More face to face chats.

·         Better interface in CourseDen/Blackboard.  It looks antiquated.

·         Make the instructions fully understandable along with examples, rubrics and possibly videos that help the students understand what is expected.

·         All content should be clear and consistent and provided at the onset of the course.  Multiple modalities of learning should be included, and students should be able to either participate as a group member, or do independent work.  If involved in groups, students should have the option to chose groups, not be assigned by alphabet.  Finally, the instructor should understand that many school systems no longer allow stakeholders to respond to surveys without extensive review before approval, which can take months.  In addition, teachers participating may risk their jobs.  This makes it very difficult to get information for projects in a 3 week time frame (since information on how to do the project was not given at the beginning of the semester to get said approval.)

·         Use a variety of media to present material. Having videos of the professor instructing would be a nice break from simply reading material and disecting it on your own.

·         More interactions with students and professors.

·         Keep required discussions to a limit!!!

·         More 'how-to's' in how to use the various programs.

·         Releasing modules occasionally is ok, but if it involves bigger assignments that take more time to complete, they need to be released sooner. Also for people taking vacation, it would be nice to know what you need to have done so you can get ahead and not be behind or miss a submission while you're gone.

·         No suggestions, it was great.

·         None

·         None

·         Teachers please be timely if you are teaching an online class because it does cause problems since there is no face to face time.

·         Plan your course and stay with your plan.  Also put it up early enough so that even though I am busy I can fit everything into my schedule.

·         None

·         Have requirements for instructors to log in regularly to answer student questions and grade student work in a timely manner.

·         Please combine the two emails used at UWG. It would be time saving and logical.

·         n/a

·         I don't have any suggestions to make.

·         NA

·         Make sure to list any required online times.

·         The Wimba discussion session schedule should be included in the syllabus and professor needs to be more proactive about returning grades and feedback to students.

·         Please post actual face-to-face or synchronous online meetings in the course description, so students can plan accordingly.

·         just quicker feedback on overall grade %

·         perhaps limit the data analysis component and really teach 4-5 concepts that a student can choose to use.

·         None

·         I think that communication needs to be top notch with online courses since their is no face to face communication.

·         The majority of students taking this course have full-time jobs and families. The work load and expectations should take this into consideration to keep the course work effective.

·         Use a different professor for this one. Try and organize better and make sure the end result is clear in the beginning.

·         Always have a type of 'B' lounge where students can go without professor 'listening' in

·         I would suggest that assignments be given back to students in a timely manner.

·         Less of a course work load from Dr. ****.

·         Assignments for working adults taking online classes need to have enough time to complete, preferably at least 2 weekends.

·         Be reasonable in the expectations and make those expectations known in a clear and concise manner.  Make assignments meaningful and available.

·         Professors teaching online should check out how Dr. **** or Dr.***** conduct their courses. Most of the other professors I have had have a similar online approach. There are a lot of reasons that people choose online over traditional face to face courses. One of the big ones is flexibility. Dr. ****and Dr. **** allow a more fluid timeline and asynchronous instruction so that students are able to complete work as it fits into their schedule.

·         A friend is taking graduate online classes at NGCSU and the professor actually participates in the discussions which make them like classroom lectures with student participation.  In most of the online classes I have taken at UWGA, the students posts to other students hoping what they write is correct, but in essence are responsible for discovering and filtering total content with little or no teacher input.  This has led me to feel that I am paying to teach myself instead of benefitting from instruction from a professor who not only knows the content in the text, but also has practical experience.  I would like to learn what works and how text relates to real world not flounder around with posts to other students who dont know any more than I do.  An online session, like Wimba every few weeks would enhance classunfortunately most of the time spent in Wimba is making sure everyone can hear.  In this age of Skype and Facetime, there has to be a better way to conduct online classes.

·         Do not take any advice from this professor.  Instead, ask any other professor at West Georgia for assistance and guidance.  Every other class I have taken has been wonderful, both F2F & online.

·         If online sessions are required, there should be more than one option for students who have various schedules and duties in life.  Also, the work load should be spread out and/or made available for students to work on at their own pace.  Consideration has to be made for other activities, including the possibility that students are engaged in work for more than one class.  A challenging class is different from work overload.  I believe that a student can gain much more from this class with practical application and direction rather than an overload of work that is meaningless because of a struggle to complete it all in a short amount of time.  With this type of class that will focus so much on specifics and writing in a certain format, there should be more time devoted from the teacher to training students how to do the work in the way desired rather than minimum explanation and major critique after students put much time and effort into the work.  I suggest Camtasia clips over reading.

·         iPad app.

·         Change the professor.

·         Learning APA formatting before taking this class.

·         Offer assignments with 2 weekends to complete the larger ones.  Offer more time, perhaps 3 hours to complete a test.

·         Make objectives clearer. Work on test design. Friendlier atmosphere where professor would be open to changes based on class feedback. Give more time on assignments.

·         Put all assignments and directions in one spot on the website. Stop putting directions for one assignment under learning modules, while another is in discussion, and others are found under other headings. I don't have time for that disorganization. The same with grades. And I don't like when the professor takes weeks to grade an assignment he only gave me a few days to complete. If it's not important to him, why is it important to me?

·         More flexibility in the discussion board postings and not always scheduling classes on the same night of the week.

·         Be totally online without the required meetings, they are unproductive maybe only one at the beginning then no more. No unnecessary work, the required busy work is ridiculous.

·         make sure the instructors know how to use course den

·         This course was 0% online!

·         log in everyday.

·         No group projects or required discussions.

·         I am a mother of four children.  It was very convenient  for me to take this class on line while i was taking care of my three year old son.

·         would be nice to have audio that could go with the chapter lctures. tat would give it more of a class room feel.

·         nothing

·         That the questions be more to the point instead of wasting time reading a dissertation before asking  a simple yes or no question.

·         N/A

·         I have no suggestions for the future.

·         Use of white boards showing step by step problem solving.

·         Make the difficulty for the quiz consistant.

·         To have Internet access in the library. I had to switch computers four times to finish obt ONE exam. The server kept kicking me off of the Internet. Needs severe improvements!!

·         Teach online. Not have us do EVERYTHING!

·         Less assignments.

·         none

·         all is good

·         None.

·         None.

·         Perhaps provide examples of some of the projects so students know more what the professor is looking for

·         To make deadlines consistent. It is hard for me to keep up with online classes because I can not remember the deadlines. Deadlines in the past have been scattered and typically result in missing assignments.

·         Meeting earlier in the semester instead of the end, maybe even meeting twice: early and later in semester

·         I enjoyed it and keep it interesting and engaging.

·         Online courses should be ONLINE not inconvenient and having to constantly go to campus for something

·         Please, if it is going to be an online course, NO GROUPWORK!

·         the outline of the class is ok, but the workload needs to be modified down some

·         100% online

·         nothing

·         Post a time when a teacher will be available to answer questions immediately.

·         Match up the chapters with the questions being asked on each exam to make it less confusing and easier to follow.

·         Get a different teacher who cares about students and the material they teach. A teacher who wants to help students who WANT to learn. A teacher who knows the material and will give you the information that is important to a marketing career. And hopefully a teacher who will give you a little more information on what she expects on a project, and not just give you a download of a photocopy of a list with no description of what she wants.

·         Attach class slideshows using powerpoint

·         Make sure to provide adequate information so the students can clearly identify what they need to do in order to receive an A on an assignment.

·         More time allowed for the tests because online tests are harder. I felt rushed for most of them.

·         Listen, learn, adjust, and continue to grow.

·         I think having more face to face time and skipping the large physical assessment video at the end is more helpful to students that are already nurses.

·         all should be online, no class room.

·         At the start up of class logging in was difficult. Had to make multiple calls to have resolved and had to change password.

·         Depends on the course, some courses are great all online and others need to be taught face to face

·         This is a great course taught by a great instructor. I would have loved to have tried to video an assessment during the first week of class.

·         none

·         Explain to students that meaning 60% on line means they are  responsible for learning the material outside of classroom. Some students in this class did not understand.

·         Class time should be more structured and there should be more time allowed for those who need/request additional instruction either in person or online.

·         Update the information as suggested in #25. Utilize the entire class time when learning labs are done.

·         Everything worked well.  No suggestions.

·         She is a wonderful teacher.

·         nothing

·         N/A

·         I would suggest using either the online material or the book as the main source of information for what is expected for a test. Not both. The students should be aware also which one is the preferred source before a test is taken.

·         The text and online course assignments should match so that they both can be of valuable use during studying for exams

·         was handled well.

·         It would be nice to have information readily available at the start of the course, but I know with technology things have to be changed and revised.

·         That the in class hours are removed. The class need to be completely online, and use Webb for face  to face.

·         Nothing

·         Make this class completely online, and not a hybrid.

·         Recorded lectures other than prof that could be utilized to assist learning such a challenging topic. Student replay multiple times until gain better understanding. This prof did an excellent job and was very understanding which helps greatly when one is trying to balance so much in ones life

·         I think that students need to have some face to face with other students and also meeting the instructor. I would not take a totally on line class if I had the choice.

·         To have material readily available for students when classes start. I know things happen and computers don't make the situation any better, but overall the course was great. Really, i have no complaints.

·         The course is extensive and I thought the assignments were too much. I think the theory paper in this course is not necessary since we are writing a theory paper in another class.

·         Please have textbooks available for classes offered at the Newnan campus when the bookstore has representatives here.  Our books for this class were not available for purchase the first day of class.

·         less paper

·         Make this coarse completely online, instead of hybrid.

·         I really enjoyed the class time. I would have liked to have had more lecture time.

·         None.  Everything was very convenient and easy to access.

·         global calendar would be the most helpful/

·         Need a better program besides WIMBA

·         Either get Wimba fixed to accommodate a large number of students with out crashing and make it more user friendly or get another program.

·         WIMBA classes have many problems. Almost every time there was some type of malfunction. It produced a great deal of anxiety and stress

·         Go to a practice wimba before you start your class.

·         No suggestions.

·         Make sure assignments are in the correct folders, make sure the date for the assignment matches what date it is actually due.

·         offer a short seminar on use of technology. We had a intro on the first day but it was very compact and there was no time to practice to see that the system worked on our computers.  I would also suggest that you clone *****!! she was wonderful - couldn't have done it without her!!

·         make it 100% online

·         Students need more education for using the online features especially students returning to school who might be> 40.

·         meeting twice for the semester is enough

·         I had no problems with the way the course was conducted, so no suggestions at this time.

·         May we could meet for 1-2 times online for a class to clarified what we are doing with power point or the concept analysis development of outline of subject.

·         Regimented course calendar and syllabus.

·         Have calender placed in CourseDen by professor so it can be combined with other classes.

·         None

·         Keep *****!!!

·         I think there should of been more face to face with the instructor.

·         Better instruction for distance learners

·         3 times for the semester meeting on campus is enough

·         N/A

·         Fix Wimba

·         Cut the class time in half. Loved the group projects.

·         A pre online course prior to the actual one.

·         This course was well structured and easy to follow. The instructor was awesome and always available when needed.

·         More computer instruction on Course Den.

·         A pre online course prior to the beginning of the actual course.

·         Continue with the case studies with some face to face time for physical assessment practice and grade this assessment throughout- instead of grading the end physical assessment video so heavily.

·         TRAIN THE INSTRUCTORS!!!

·         More clear directions for assignments. The technology for this course was way more than needed. Use technology realistically with actual need to know tasks. For example, there was no need to learn how to create a physical assessment in MP4 format.

·         I do not believe I will ever like online courses. It has nothing to do with the professor, I just feel that an experienced professor can offer so much to the students and that is lost in online courses. You just can't get that in online discussion.

·         None

·         n/a

·         don't take too many classes, online is just as much work as face to face...maybe even more.

·         My teacher did not let us have this course partially online. I was very disappointed because being a comuter student 42 miles from campus, online classes appeal to me. I think that this class should not be advertised as partially online if our professor is not on board. I did like however that we turned in most of our assignments on-line.

·         take notes from dr. clay

·         Have the teachers set up the syllabus weeks in advance. Also, have the books required for the class on the syllabus and at the bookstore in advance. Teachers will assign homework that is due the first day of class, hard for students to get their books at the last minute.

·         have them be structured just like this one!

·         Have more online classes

·         Add more classes

·         I think that what might make the course better would be to talk about the discussion borad post in class and have further conversation.

·         For the teacher to be adamant about posting grades in a reasonable time.

·         They are great!

·         For this class, easier quizzes! Everything else was perfect to me!!!

·         Better communication with the professor

·         I would suggest that the quizzes be made easier!

·         Always remember to take the quizzes and discussions.

·         Sending alerts through westga email would be nice.

·         I can't say that I have any. This was my first run with an online class, and it was very useful.

·         For all instructors to be like Dr. ****.

·         Be more like this one.

·         Have an optional alert/announcement emailed to you when the deadline for an incomplete assignment is due.

·         I have no suggestions as of right now.

·         Everything about the online courses I have taken has been sufficient.

·         Make them more interesting.

·         No suggestions at the moment.

·         There is nothing I can think of.

·         it is good

·         NA

·         Nothing.

·         To offer a little more in class time to better understand what you are reviewing. Then online discussions with classmates as more of a base for the grading.

·         keep up the good work

·         Pay attention to CourseEval survey responses.

·         Not a thing! Thank you for a wonderful online experience!

·         N/A

·         Improve the quizzes.

·         To be able to do anything at anytime until the semester deadline.

·         The on-line course wasn't an issue. Getting the book was.

·         keep the class being on tuesdays and thursdays like it was suppose to be

·         None.

·         Don't take them if you want to take the course seriously or are very interested in the subject.

·         Have all of the material available at the beginning of the course.

·         That only professors who are consistent, clear, and very involved should teach online cources. I am very independent and do not expect to be simply given any of my grades; however, I do expect for teachers to clearly explain thier expectations and grade consistently thoughout the cource. This was no so for this course.

·         Just look at your course schedule and make sure from a student's perspective that this class is not to overwhelming.

·         open everything day one so that we can really work at our own pace.  Give dates that things are due and if discussions are required we can always check weekly for them.

·         Make the narrative notes more fun. Also we were given so much information that we did not even need for the test/quizzes so I was not always sure what to study.

·         nothing great

·         I don't have any particular suggestions for this online course.

·         to have the discussion board

·         you should deffentily take this class!

·         shorter power points

·         Nothing.

·         Less face-to-face meetings.

·         This class was not online...

·         Nothing. This class is perfect the way it is.

·         The teacher should listen to the students suggestions as well as help the student understand when they ask questions.

·         Professors need to check their email more often and be prompt in answering questions.

·         n/a

·         I would recommend that professors follow the same guidelines they have for their students.  Our time is valuable also.

·         Make it easier to access the uwg library online.

·         It might be beneficial to have the assignments available to be turned in by the end of the semester...it might work better with some students' schedules.

·         wish more courses were online

·         Have all requirements for all assignments and handouts on CourseDen.

·         None

·         Create assignments with more thorough instructions.

·         None.

·         Intergrate more of the Internet into the class. Have us watch youtube videos, go to websites, etc.

·         I would suggest that the teachers teaching this course should check their westga email and course den email frequently to avoid confusion.

·         More frequent communication from the instructor, though the student plays a role in this as well.

·         Professors/teachers should be more realistic with their expectations and requirements.

·         No more on-line course for Auditory disorders or any SLPA class

·         Have the material on Blackboard organized so that required reading and assignments are easy to find.

·         present the course online hybrid with face-to-face classes as it was originally supposed to be

·         n/a

·         Make sure that the professor is comfortable using webct before announcing the course or determing that the course can be taught online.  This particular professor, Dr. ****** was excellent however another professor was unable to utilize couseden

·         Classes that are structured like this one are excellent. ******* is an excellent, well-organized professor who makes her expectations crystal clear.

·         Stay ahead of all assignments that are due and dont get behind.

·         nothing

·         Overall, this was a very well organized and well communicated course. As my first online course, I was very pleased with its' outcomes.

·         Nothing really.

·         N/A

·         All instructors should be available to help students, especially an online class.  Even if it's only a student assistant, that would be acceptable.  I shouldn't have to go to the head of a department to have a problem solved.

·         Make sure you read your book if the professor assigns you to.

·         Don't do assignments in which we HAVE to have a mic or webcam since those can be expensive.

·         none

·         Everything was sufficient.

·         I would say possibly more guidance to first-time online class students

·         Try to be more understanding with first week assignments because people who aren't as computer saavy have issue working it in the first two weeks.

·         Instructor replies to students soon as possbile.

·         This was a great experience. I actually think that this was a pretty great course.

·         *********** made her expectations clear, and I have no suggestions for improvemet of this course.

·         Not to have more homework than an on-campus class. Too much course work to compensate for being online takes the learning out of the class and just becomes work, which is frustrating and pointless when the student wants to learn, but feels they aren't because of the huge work load.

·         Make sure that there is a discussion thread for class questions and add some form of informal discussion perhaps.

·         N/A

·         *********  would post directional videos, which I feel are very helpful in understanding the materials.

·         to have the professor available for questions if a student is having problems with understanding of material

·         I suggest the College of Education and other departments at UWG consider training teachers in their use of webct and online learning. Furthermore, make sure the teacher should actually be teaching college before you give them a virtual classroom.

·         Possibly, additional face-to-face meetings for after exam days.

·         There needs to be at least 50 per cent of the classes face to face.    Options should be given to have the choice of an online or a campus class.

·         None for her, she was an excellent teacher with many great touching stories.

·         have the class be partially online, instead of completely online.

·         i need to know to whom to complaint when i have issues concerning my course.

·         none

·         the instructor is great

·         More face-to-faces available!

·         none

·         The instructor should make sure she is as organized as she can be.

·         More discussion groups-to as a group answer questions about teh material-discuss ideas to be used in teaching.

·         N/A

·         No completely online grad classes.

·         That the instructor is taught how to submit information to the student online.

·         Do not make graduate programs strictly on line.

·         Changing deadlines for assignments to 11:59 PM as other classes and more consistent response time.

·         Instructors of online courses had to be knowledgeable of online environments and what it is expected of them. This can promote successful learning experiences for them and the students in their classes. My previous experiences have been extremely positive but not for this class.

·         The teacher needs to respond to emails, etc. when a student has a question or concern!

·         Make instructions for assignments more clear.

·         Please SLOW DOWN new innovations and system enhancements.  I am frustrated when I have to learn a whole new system in addition to my regular content.  Please don't fix what's not broken!!

·         Announcements for updates made to the system.

·         Dr. ******* is an excellent instructor who goes out of her way to make sure we have a positive experience and she is always eager to communicate with her students.

·         N/A

·         none

·         Always have an online discussion group-not just postings= A group format-answering each others posts and comments helps refine and expand needed information as a teacher.

·         Have the class completely online or have the students to meet in a regular classroom setting.  Also, i would like to suggest having an online program for working adults, this program is for students and people who are not working.

·         More organization, checklists, and easier to read calendar for on-line assignments and due dates

·         None

·         None at this time.

·         everything went well.

·         Materials, syllabus and readings are posted before class so that you can get a better feel and understanding of the class and requirements.

·         I do not know how to make a research class more involved with teaching, but I would like to have learned more valuable information to make me a better teacher.

·         Nothing at this time

·         everything fine

·         For the class to not be allowed online ever again.

·         better organization

·         eliminate as too many distractions    learning is increased when able to interact with the professors and others in the classroom

·         To maybe make everything more organized and easy to find.

·         none

·         Give maybe one dead line extension if needed,

·         class in person    new teacher is needed as **** is worthless, refuse to use his last name as he is not a professor, but someone making assignments, I have no respect for this style of teaching

·         make the class in person so we can learn more versus just reading the materials

·         good teacher

·         nothing

·         Hope the future of college lectures don't conform to ONLY online teachings.

·         make this an in person course

·         More classe available on-line.

·         None.

·         none

·         Nothing

·         Make sure grades are posted quickly!

·         That the site does not freeze during online quizzes or test.

·         to have assignments in a better place so students can see it

·         Same as I said above, to have something to check off once you completed it since there is a lot you are doing.

·         n/a

·         that all emails from your professor go to your MyUWG email instead of courseden email.

·         Make a variety of topics for the online journals.

·         Ability to register sooner.  There is no reason that 100% online courses should fillup because there are no seats to fill.  If large numbers of students sign up for a course, then it gives the University time to adequately hire the number of faculty needed to teach the course(s).

·         none at the moment

·         I have had several online courses that were not as organized as this one and they were not as successful. Dr. ***** is really good about being organized with her online classes and I am always pleased with the regimine and the problems I run into with other teachers in online classes is their lack of preparedness.

·         Use a different website service.

·         More .pdfs, less text books.

·         so far so good.

·         The system should move faster and I have not other suggestios.

·         That the teacher should have some knowledge of computers before teaching a mostly online class and be able to provide the student with grades in an ample amount of time. My teacher left us in the dark about our grades before the drop date so we did not know where we stood so that we should drop or not.
