·
The opportunity to become familiar with WebCt
and send video work to teacher and classmates via attachments.
·
It allowed me to spend more time with my two children and still
get some of my core requirements completed.
·
I can work at my own speed from home and stop when my kids need
me. I don't have to spend a lot of time and gas away from my family.
·
Excellent communication between instructor/student and
student/student. Convenient. Save gas!
·
NOTHING
·
I love that we can participate in discussions without feeling
nervous about who is looking at us or judging us while we state our
opinion. I love that we can work in our own time, and always get an
answer from our professors.
·
It is very helpful for people like me who work full-time jobs.
·
I enjoyed the fact that I didn't have to drive to the campus at
all, that was convenient.

I liked the discussion forums in WebCT.
I learned a TON from the other students and the instructor was
responsive, 'approachable', and SO helpful!!

I enjoyed the freedom to work at my own pace.
·
The flexibility to complete assignments when I have the time.
·
That I can work from the comfort of my home.
·
I can work full time, travel for my job, manage my family life,
and do my schools work whenever it is convenient for me, regardless of
where I am.
·
Well my commute is over 50 miles maybe 60 miles so the advantage
of not having to drive and because of the current gas prices, I would say
not having to make that commute
·
Living far away allows me to complete my masters through online
courses.
·
Convenient... could complete at my own pace.
·
I have control over the pacing of the course.
·
I liked being able to turn in assignments on-line.
·
Flexibility. As a full-time worker in corporate America,
I find online learning very convenient to my schedule.

·
I love that I can take a class without having to attend classes
each time. It has been a positive experience for me. I put NA to the

Being able to access my courses at any time of day or night.
·

Course expectations and assignment deadlines were clearly stated.
·
The convenience of being able to stay home and not travel the long

·
I liked that I could work on assignments when the time was right
for me. I work full time and have
2 children who are involved with sports and school. The combination of 3 classroom visits,
coupled with the remaining on-line portion was perfect for me. My professor was always prompt in
answering any questions that I had. This was a very positive learning
experience.
·
I live 45-50 miles away from Carrollton
and I work about 75 miles away from Carrollton,

·
online aspect
·
Convenience
·
I thought that the projects were fun that we were asked to submit.
They were very relevant to our future jobs
·
Having classes online is extremely convenient for me. I live over 3 hours away from WestGA, so it is almost impossible for me to attend
classes on a regular basis on campus.
·
I loved the class! I loved
the fact that we had assignments to do and then we submitted them to
him. We did not have to chat or
discuss with the other members of the class. His assignments were challenging, and I
learned so much through the research I did for class.
·
I enjoy the discussion boards, the ability to work on projects and
submit them when it fits my schedule, and the opportunity to participate
in chats with other classmates.
·
I liked the fact that we had to do some of our assignments with a
group. I had not done that in my
other online class last fall and I found it very helpful. Generally, I enjoy the social aspects
of a class and haven't gotten that much before this semester through my
group. Another positive was that
we got very timely feedback on our projects in this class and that is
very helpful.
·
Personally I felt that is was not as effective as face to face,
and with the problems between work being submitted and going through it
would have been easier to turn in a hard copy or have the discussions in
person.
·
I could contribute to discussions on my own time.
·
I liked the organization of the course material within WebCT, and how it is somewhat universal for all
courses. I also liked the
flexibility of being able to access the information and material at
anytime from my computer.
·
I liked the flexibility of being able to complete assignments at
my own pace and on my own time. I
also feel that I could be more expressive due to the relative anonymity
of the course.
·
Allowed for me to complete work on my time schedule and provided
freedom from regular class restraints
·
I liked having the flexibility of getting work done on my time
schedule. Also having email access with my instructors was great.
·
Being able to work on my own time and be home with my children.
·
Being able to work on my own time and be home with my children.
·
Very convenient and allows for flexibility in managing class
activities.
·
Being able to post my homework assignments by 11:59 PM instead of
5:30 like some colleges I have attended. I have a job and a family; it
makes it easier to get to the computer when everyone else is sleeping.
·
it was relevant and helped me to avoid spending
excessive cash on fuel. I also
enjoyed not having to get a babysitter to come to school

Allowed me time to spend with my children when needed but also
allowed me to give fully to my class as I had time. Helped me
tremendously to achieve the best professional information I could without
losing time with family. Improved
my skills and my confidence in using computers for classes in the future.
·
No much the professor was totally disengaged.

I like how effective classroom interaction can be.
·
I like the fact that I could work on the content during my free

·
Flexibility, comfort of home
·
It was up most of the time. If not there were explanations and it
was quickly fixed. Allowed me to work when I found the time. It's like
being on the job because you have to get field experience. I really liked
the instructors. Very knowledgeable and understanding.
·
The flexibility is very helpful.
·
The flexibility factor is very important to me.

Posting assignments by 11:59 PM and quick response from the

·
It fits in with my schedule. Allows me to do school work on
weekends and evenings when I'm not at work.
·
easy to follow
·
Flexibility
·
I loved being able to learn about this topic from the convenience
from home. It is hard to work all day and then have to rush to class.
When you get home you are exhausted. Online learning is fun and just as
educational as sitting in a classroom. WebCT is
great and I think all professors should be encouraged to use the system.
This summer I'm taking two courses in Carrollton and I'm hoping, fingers
crossed, that part of these class hours can and will be completed online.
Especially since I have a class meeting all day on Saturday from 8:00
till 5:00. In my opinion, that is just overkill for any reasonable person
to be made to stay in a campus class for that length of period.
·
my on time
·
The flexibility to complete assignments on my own time and at my
own pace
·
easy
·
I like that I could complete assignments within a time frame set
by the instructor but that I didn't have to drive to Carrollton once a
week.
·
Not having to spend 2 hours driving when what we do in class can
be done using WebCT.
·
The most important item for me was the convenience of answering
and responding to fellow students.
Another highly valuable item was the availability of my professor
·
loved not having to drive, and to be able to prepare and
contribute to discussions
·
Convenience and savings on gas.
·
Flexibility to do class discussion from my home or office
·
I like the fact that I get to work at my own pace
·
I learned how to do research and write a research paper
·
I liked having the freedom to complete my work.
·
I loved the convenience of not having to drive to Carrollton after work (an hour and a
half round trip for me). I did my homework in my pj's
after my kids were asleep!! A wonderful thing!!
·
Convenience of when I can work. Less stressful environment. Still
has easy access to instructor. I wish all classes were online.
·
Doing the work on my on schedule
·
I really liked not having to come to class weekly when the tasks
were of an independent nature and require an individual student response.
I also liked having the opportunity to be in an asynchronous work
environment. I appreciate not having to sit in front of the computer at a
set time of the day, unlike having to report to a class at a particular
time. I also had an opportunity to
read the work of other students and get a different perspective versus
sitting in a class and not being able to share because to focus or only
learning comes from the professor.
·
I could work on the projects at 1am if I needed to.
·
Convenience. I like being
able to keep up with the goings on of class on my own time.
·
Convenience!! If I had to
take classes in a traditional way, I would be unable to further my
education. It simply would not fit
into my hectic family/personal life.
·
It was more flexible and having a full time job and family this
was much easier to accomplish.
Graduate courses should look to be on-line.
·
It helped me learn a great deal more about computers. It was convenient working around my
schedule since I'm not a traditional student.
·
I liked being able to do the work on my own time.
·
Convenient for professionals attending courses.
·
Convenient
·
No class! Gave me the opportunity to work projects outside of
class, at my pace.
·
The flexibility to do your work when you have time.
·
I think the online portion of this course was good but i feel they should give the student more than ten
minutes to complete the quiz.
·
I liked the face to face meetings.
·
I like the convenience and easy of use.
·
I like the flexibility of time. I can login and complete online
class assignments at anytime.
·
In pursuing a master's degree, I'm finding it difficult enough
just to go back to school with my family & job commitments. If I had
to drive several miles to a campus and sit in a classroom to take the
courses, I just wouldn't be able to do it. On-line courses at least make
it possible!
·
I could do it at my own expense.
·
The online course was very convenient. I could work at my own pace
when I had the time to.
·
The fact that I could work at my own pace, and even turn
assignments in early.
·
It was easy to turn in work.
·
not having to drive out to campus and participating on my own time
instead of a schedule class time
·
The feedback and dialogue exchanged through group discussions.
·
Flexibility
·
I didn't have to go to campus to take the course.
·
Completing assignments on my own time.
·
Not having the obligation of being in class everyday really made
life a lot better.
·
I liked the fact that I had long periods of time to do the work
and that the teacher was not stern on the punctuality because we all
understand how technology is not a certain thing.
·
Could do the course work at my convenience with gas prices so
high, it is even nicer to be able to work from home or from my job.
·
I like the fact that I could go to the professor's office or
e-mail him if I had a problem online.
·
The fact that I knew the exact dates of when an assignment was due
as well as what was need ahead of time!
·
Everything
·
I liked being able to work on the assignments on my own time, and
at my own pace. Every assignment was given or available at the beginning
of the semester. So, you could finish it all at once, or space it out
evenly. It was an option for each person.
·
Great course! I learned a great deal.
·
great course
·
The chance to do it on my own time.
·
Work at own pace.
·
It was very organized and the instructor responded to mail within
a day. He is very upfront with the
class from day 1. He is very
demanding when it comes to writing.
I really liked the idea of this class being online.
·
I learned a lot, if not more than an actual class in a classroom.
I like how the teacher(s) are flexible due dates because most students
have jobs and online courses are more convenient.
·
It allowed me to do my work at home.
·
I did not have to drive for over an hour to class. The discussions
were very good.
·
Being able to stay home in a quiet place to study and work on assignments
·
I liked the opportunity to chat with my classmates about class
topics and assignments.
·
I liked being able to work on class work at my leisure and
utilizing the class time for getting things done for that class. I felt
it was very helpful to have the course online.
·
Not having to travel so far for class every week.
·
Flexibility and time
·
Online courses are particularly helpful for students who have
fulltime jobs outside their college work.
College assignments can be done at the student's discretion and on
the student's timeline to meet assignment deadlines. Posting assignments online is a good
way to get things turned in on time.
Online discussion boards help students interact with each other
and with the instructor--often getting questions answered within the hour
from wherever the student(s) or instructor are.
·
I was able to communicate online versus face to face since I tend
to be quiet during class
·
I enjoyed the freedom of being able to work from home and the
convenience of being able to communicate with professors and students via
an online process. Although there
is more work with an online class, the convenience of the course
outweighs the burden.
·
I could do my work on my own time.
·
The instructor answered my questions quickly
·
I really learned a lot about the different standards that is
required for teacher to follow.
·
no class meetings
·
It was a lot of fun and I know I learned a lot!
·
My instructor was very helpful and he also had a fast response to
all my e-mails.
·
I could work on projects on my own timeframe
·
The discussions from week to week.
·
The flexibility to complete assignments when I had the time to
work on them.
·
The instructor is attentive and extremely active throughout the
entire course.
·
I can work at flexible times, and that works with my current life
and career.
·
Flexible schedule for working on my assignments.
·
The interactivity between the students and the professor
online. The availability to the
instructor at her office or at home.
·
I was able to work when on coursework when it was a good time for
me. The online portion is
wonderful for people like me who work and have children. We can get our schoolwork done at home
after the kids have gone to bed.
·
everything
·
Not having to drive to Rome from Bremen
·
It was easy for me to work and take classes. There is no other way I would have been
able to do so.
·
It allowed for me to take classes.
With work, family, and other obligations I would not have been
able to further my career.
·
Flexibility
·
It being online
·
I thought student-teacher communication was excellent for this
course. The instructor answered e-mails quickly, and she contributed to
discussions and answered questions posted by other students for
discussion within a day or two. She was also quick to turn around graded
assignments. I felt spoiled when it came to providing helpful and specific
feedback in a timely manner. There were 2 sections, and I also enjoyed
the instructor’s feedback. I realize this may not happen with every
class. I enjoyed the fact that I didn't have to be anywhere more than 3
times, and that if I completed my work on time I was left alone to
complete it independently. This was a positive experience overall for me.
·
Flexibility
·
Simply the freedom to work on your own time without the travel
time to class
·
I feel that the professors were great. I also like the convenience because I
live so far away, and gasoline is so expensive.
·
He does an excellent job teaching online courses. His organization makes the class user
friendly. The flexibility of
working from home and ahead because of his organization is wonderful!
·
The liberty of working on the assignments when it is convenient
for me, of course before the deadlines. Being a wife and mother, not
having to travel from Douglasville to Carrollton for this class on a daily
basis is helpful in being here for my family.
·
The flexibility of doing my class work when I had the time.
·
It was convenient to my work schedule.

This course was very organized. I thoroughly enjoyed taking this
class. At first I was a little concerned about it, but he was very
accommodating and made the class very manageable and an overall great
class. He was prompt at answering questions and/or concerns. I highly
recommend him as an online professor and I am looking forward to
diffusions this summer.

take three classes versus two.
·

·
Not having to drive into Carrollton
every week to meet. It definitely
helped my budget.
·
That the information given by my instructor was accessible and
when I submitted my information it was in the format that I had chosen.
Also, I liked not having to drive 45 minutes one way to deliver my
information to my professor
·
the fact that it is online
·
Be able to do my work at my convenience
·
I like that it is a way to communicate with my fellow classmates
at all times. This provides an easier way to communicate with my teachers
as well. Also, we can turn in projects and post discussion questions from
anywhere

·
The instructor has taken the time to record weekly lectures when
we are not required to be present in a classroom. I found this more
helpful than being in class at times because we can replay the lecture if
we need clarification.
·
I could participate in on-line discussions at home or at work
which saved time in the classroom.
·
I liked being able to work from home to complete my assignments. I
had a due date for the assignment and could complete it on my own time if
something came up rather than having to miss class.
·
That I was able to do work from my home, the public library, on my
laptop and the computer labs. I
was able to access all the needed materials at my pace and fulfill my
duties as a full time employee and mother.

Most actual research was done through reading four books with some
online readings which still needed to be printed off probably spent
200.00 printing materials for a non book course
·
Being able to take classes completely online is helpful for those
students who have to commute which is about 75% of UWG's
student population

·
The online portion was convenient because I could work the class
around my hectic class and work schedule.
·
I like the independent learning style of this course. The course

Although I love the on-line courses, Webct
is not as user friendly as it should be. All instructors use is
differently, and I had a terrible time trying to attach documents to send
to them. Fortunately, the lady on help desk was great and stayed on the
phone with me until the problem was solved.
·
My instructor does an excellent job organizing his online
content. He is by far the best
instructor I have had in this program.
·
The ability to retrieve submitted assignments for editing was
helpful. The discussion board

through and then acknowledged good work or gave direction toward a better
way of solving problems.

·
It was very convenient for me to be able to access everything I
needed for class online.
·
Being a mother of small children, I knew I would not be able to
attend courses on campus regularly. I liked that so long as I kept up
with the coursework, I wasn't obligated to 'show up' anywhere for more
than one face-to-face gathering. I think it takes discipline to stay on
task when there's no actual class, but that was not a problem for me. I
also liked that I could plan my discussions and activities and edit
myself before I put the information out there. Specifically in regards to
the course, I liked that the assignments had real world applications and
could be used outside of the class. I also liked that I learned even more
about technology tools than I had imagined I would.
·
I liked that I did not have to spend 4 hours in the car to drive
to and from class. I like that I
can access and work on my class at times that do not take away from my
family - during my lunch hour, after everyone is asleep!

the rising cost of gas.
·
convenience
·
I was able to work at my own pace.
I would not have been able to participate in the course had it
been entirely on campus due to the distance that I must travel.
·
The instructor was an excellent instructor and kept an open line
with his students at all times. I appreciated his attentiveness and quick
response to all my concerns and questions as I worked through this
course. Once, I was feeling overwhelmed with all the writing and he
called me at home to address my stress. He was even willing to change the
due dates for our assignments after the class asked him to change from
Saturday to Sunday to give us the weekend to complete our work. The
instruction materials and podcasts were very
educational along with the discussion questions he posted. He encourages
us to think for ourselves and share our ideas with other students in the
class.
·
I loved the discussions and the fact that students could ask each
other questions without being judged. I loved that we were allowed to
work in our own time. And that our professor paid a lot of attention to

I prefer not to drive if I do not have to--conservation and the
price of fuel. Also, I appreciated
being able to work at my convenience on assignments etc.
·
The instructor is an excellent teacher that responds quickly and
makes using WebCT easy.
·
Very informative, straight to the point, and taught you step by
step. Great job.
·
Being able to share projects to the class and benefit from seeing
our collective work-in-action. I
preferred the use of collaborative tools such as Google docs and blogs than the threaded discussion boards. If the
instructor set up the DB with some rigor then there was value to the
posts. But without that
expectation the DB posts were fairly aimless.
·
I enjoyed the flexibility to complete the course work on my own
time.
·
Work on my own time.
·
I liked that I could do the work in my own time.
·
I really liked that I was able to do the class as my schedule
allowed. The instructor posted the
assignments giving the class enough time to complete them and I was even
allowed to work ahead if my schedule allowed in order preparing for any
upcoming times I would not have time to do the work the next week.

faster than regular classes. My questions are answered faster through
email than between classes.
·
I was not aware that we had an online course. My course was in
class and not online but twice.
·
This was a hybrid class, part f2f and part distance. I prefer
hybrid courses because you develop a relationship/report with the instructor
and other classmates that you don't get when a class is totally online.
·
I enjoyed the flexibility that came with an online class, and with
gas at almost $4 dollars a gallon, it was more economical than driving an

·
I love the flexibility and accessibility of online courses.
·
Flexibility
·
The fact that I could do my class work whenever I wanted but the
fact that my teachers in online classes did not clearly present to the
student when certain items were due drove me INSANE... I am extremely angry about this but
this mostly had to do with an E-core class and not my distant learning
class. I also think that the
discussion areas were merely used as busy work and were not needed they
did not seem as discussion areas to me but rather right a paper and let
others respond to by saying something to a classmate that the teacher
wanted to hear. EX: This IS an interesting piece of art
work. I really like the
colors. Good post!' And such as. I will not recommend
online classes to anyone. Sorry
but this was not a good experience for me
·
The flexibility. Not having
to be in class at a certain time, or logged in at a certain time was very
