Question 22: What did you like about the online portion of this course?

Being able to submit class work online.
The flexibility.
There was no specific time to be on-line.
The one thing I liked about the online course was that it allowed for an extended deadline for each assignment and were able to complete at your own leisure.
I enjoyed the structure of the class and the response from the instructure.

It was convenient that I was able to complete this coursework at my leisure, without having to travel to a classroom. I do, however, live directly across the street from campus, and find the lack of face-to-face instruction an irreparable downfall to the entire experience.

I love the flexibility I get with having this class online. I work full time over 100 miles away, so there is no way I could take this course if it was only offered in a traditional classroom setting.

Online courses have been convenient to me thus far in my collegiate experience. I work 40 hours per work, which often translates to a number that often exceeds 60 hours per work. Fortunately, at this juncture in my academic path, I am able to take online courses.

In general I like online classes, but I did not like this one because the teacher tried to structure it to be like a class-room setting course. I like that online classes give you the freedom to do assignments on your own time, but with the way this teacher set the class up, I was unable to complete assignments when I wanted to.
The online part of this course was ok, but everyone was expected to log on everyday even some on spring break. I was not happy about having to do the group project on a online class, because that is the whole point of taking an online class is so I would not have to drive to school.
Working full time with a family and teaching at night does not allow me to physically go to the campus for classes so online classes are perfect.
I could do the work on my own time. I am also more comfortable talking outside the classroom.

I did not like anything about this course. The teacher was unavailable and was difficult to talk to. She made the course hard by having to many 'folders' to go through to find information. The internet connection in the classroom was bad most of the time. Overal I was extremely disappointed with this course

I liked the wimba feature. Instruction virtually was new for me, and it was good experience. I would do it again in the future, especially knowing what to expect now.

As a single mom the flexibility to do this course entirely from home was amazing. In addition I have horrible test anxiety so being able to test, on my own time from the comfort of home really helped reduced my anxiety and allowed me to actually show what I learned during tests.

This was the first on-line math course that used video lectures to present the material. That was the best part of the course. Seeing example and hearing explanations was very useful to my success in the course.
I am comfortable to schedule my time to learn it such as to read the texts and to do homework.
The instructor posted all materials for the class at the beginning. He also posted video lectures using a whiteboard that were very helpful in learning the material.

The professor! She did an excellent job teaching the course. She was always willing to take extra time to help and answer questions. She is very knowledgeable about the material and very kind and helpful. As well as, even though I was nervous about the progress videos, they are really good to do because I was able to interact with the professor and she got to know me.

This class is listed as a distance learning class but in actuality it is not. We were in class 100% of the time. We completed online quizzes but other than that we were in the classroom unlike what it says on the registration course information.
it was quite confusing about how to use the wiki due to the lack of education that the teachers have had prior to class. I knew how to create and use it because of another MEDT class that I was taking this semester.
This class said it would be online when we registered. We have not have any class meetings online so this is false information about the course. The first day we got in we were told we were coming every class meeting which was a shocker to us because we thought we would get some time to have the course online. The online stuff we do in here is just like every other course like using a wiki and courseden. There is no more online work in here than any other of my classes.

I enjoyed the fact that we knew from the beginning all work was due on that Friday by 5PM and we were given the chance to take quizzes twice.
I was able to work at my own pace as long as the assignments were posted.

The convenience of the course, and the way the professor compelled the class to both learn something about Theatre, but also computers, as many assignments took some sort of computer skill to do. It was fantastic!
I liked that I could speak my mind without the direct opinions of others. Also, I found it very helpful to be able to fit my schoolwork in where I found time and not have to drive to campus.
It made it very easy to complete the work and contribute to the class on my own time. I feel it helps a lot when you consider the on the go lifestyle of todays society. This course made it a lot easier for me to get other things done while still participating in the class.

It was easy to follow the sylabus. We were told in the first day meeting the activity and due dates. We knew everything that was expected from us the first day. It works well with by busy schedule.
It gives me more time during the day to complete assignments for my other classes. I also find that working at my own pace is easier than having to meet face-to-face in a classroom setting.
