Spring 2010 Distance Education Survey
(Student Comments)
Question
23: What did you dislike about the online portion of this
course?
- confusing with deadlines and miscommunication
- time between talking to the professor
- I wish the system did not shut down on fridays. It seems whenever I was going to do work on
a friday the system would be shut down. Other
than that it was great. I do wish you could forward your e-mails from
course den to another e-mail.
- I wish she had put the material up the weekend before
instead of the DAY OF the online class.
It was frustrating because there was more to do than you could
get done in the hour and 15 minute class period.
- There were tons of assignments to submit and things
got a little confusing.
- Dealing with CourseDen. Halfway through the semester it got to
be very difficult to email. It
would not bring up the list of people in the class and then sometimes
you'd write your email and click send and then tell you it could not
connect to CourseDen
- Nothing... I loved everything. Everything was laid
out accordingly.
- Bad connection sometimes slowed up completion of
assignments
- Sometimes the assignments and expectations were not
clear.
- the teacher was very vague in what we were suppose to do and it was to cluttery
and not very well organized.
- i disliked the fact of
not being able to get in touch with my teacher, and even though she
allowed us to contact her via e-mail, timing was still put off a couple
of days.
- The online grades haven't been calculated in our
grades yet and I paid $70 to be able to use the online materials.
- It is online I prefer to learn in a classroom because
I comprehend more info
- Sometimes there was too many folders to look in.
Which was kind of overwhelming.
- There was way too many assignments required.
- I did not like the fact that most assignments were to
be submitted via e-mail.
Sometimes, I submitted assignments that were not received, and/or
I submitted assignments early and they were lost. I am assuming that these assignments
were lost, or not see
- Online needs to be more structured and
streamlined. The course would
work great online but since this was the first one, there were many
emails, postings, etc about the same subject, topic or assignment. I felt like I had to check 5 different
areas or d
- The LACK of use of the Assignments Task box. In past, my other three On Line CISM
courses in past two semesters used ASSGNMNT task for Inbox, Submitted,
Graded and Published. This works
with courses requiring multitude of assignments.
- To much busy work was
required for this coures.
- Sometimes e-mails were not responded to right away.
- Nothing, this was a great course
- In the beginning, I did not like the assignment due
time of 8pm. Then she changed it
to 11pm, which was better for all working people!
- Every part of this online course was efficient.
- Too much busy work. Save trees.
- The teacher's lack of knowledge regarding how to use
the onine class.
- There was not an aspect of the course that I dislike
- I disliked nothing about this course.
- Work was hard to send through WebCt
because of the size
- Came to enjoy instructor so much, I hated not to get
to see her in class. E-mail and office visits were so encouraging and
informative; I wish more instructors were like her.
- The workload is outrageous, but I learned a lot. Not sure how you change that!!
- I disliked the fact of the amount of work and how a
lot of times my teacher was unavailable.
- There was nothing I didn't like.
- The online session was ok. The only thing I dislike
is the time destinated for system cleaning. I
think 10pm on friday evenings should be
adjusted to a later hour.
- the teacher was not involved at all. she proctered
the exams.
- Course Den sometimes kicks you out for no apparent
reason.
- I could never get the professor to email me back.
- This is a difficult course to conduct and learn
online.
- I wish that my professor would be quicker about
responding to my messages on course den.
- Tests did not match up with course material and no
help was ever offered.
- Computer problems and posting assignments was a mess
for me, maybe it was not for others but I tried to follow instructions good.
- Tests are more difficult.
- I would rather be in a classroom. I would have liked
to hear him describe, in detail his expewrience
in Anthropology-instead of reading everthing.
- the book and test were completely unrelated.
- It was hard to figure out what the teacher was
looking for on tests without a lecture.
- The content and lectures were, boring, tedious and
contained too much information read too quickly and garbled.
- The down time on Fridays for upgrades
- it was more difficult to comprehend.
- The power point presentations from the teacher are
not in good working order. They need to be reviewed and redone. When
approaching the teacher with this information, myself and other students
were told it had been years since she even looked at them. I w
- The biggest draw back to
the course were the power point lectures. They were often slow at loading which
sometimes made an hour long lecture take over two hours to
complete. At that rate I would have
much preferred actually attending class.
Also, print
- not being able to have student teacher interaction
(face to face)
- The constant videos that were extremely hard to
understand and did not load very easily at all. Writing papers about
things with extremely high expectations without being taught anything
from the teacher.
- Everything. The teacher was awful, rude, and
uninformative. The class was advertised as 98-100% online but i found out halfway through that they had been
meeting twice a week. The syllabus even said 'since this class doesn't
actually meet...'. I asked the
- There really wasn't anything that i
particularly disliked. I do not really have any complaints.
- I have no complaints about the course. I think the site is well set up and
organized and everything is very accessible to the students.
- I did not like the aplia at
all. The questions were worded to be confusing. Also i
did not like how the midterm and I suppose the final were worded. I
found them also to be mislead when compared to the reading material.
- the help line is oblivious and has no real clue how
the online classes work or how to resolve problems. i
once had a problem with taking a test and they essentially told me that
they could not do anything.
- Course Den kicking me out for no particular reason
- Because I love the way she teaches in class also
- The questions that pop in head that you didnt think of you cant
just ask like in class
- if anything maybe too many assignments.lol
- Not learning in a class setting.
- I think the assignments could have been laid out a
little better. Since we never met face to face better instructions for
assignments would have been helpful.
- I felt I would have learned more about the material
(terms on the test) if we had face to face meetings.
- The content was challenging; it would have been
beneficial to meet a few times.
- I dislike the fact that our midterm and final were
not online. It conflicted with my student teaching schedule.
- When I originally signed up for this class it was not
supposed to be an online course. The amount of reading was very intense,
and some of the subject was difficult. May have been better if this
class were in a classroom setting more than just twice in th
- I did not like the assignments that were given in
this course to do them all online was extremely difficult and stressful.
- It was convienent but I did
not learn as much on line as I would have in class. This information is very crucial to
our future career and interacting with the teacher was missing. the have
been in the classroom and can give us hints or clues as to what
- It was hard for the instructor to really explain the
assignments without being face-to-face with examples and such.
- Course Den had a few glitches. Occasionally, I would receive an error
message when I tried to attach files to through Course Den. Other than this issue, I enjoyed the
online portion of this course.
- Communication can be difficult when doing group work.
- I have to admit that I was not a big fan of the
schema diagram project.
- The time required to read everyone's post.
- I miss face to face discussions.
- had troubles with Wimba
tool..inconsistent performance
- If you have any technical difficulties, you miss the
whole class time. It can be very frustrating.
- wimba classroom did not
always work as designed. echo and
other communication issues made it difficult to hear and understand
- I didn't like doing the group projects for a course
that was strictly online. Its very difficult
to get everyone online to work together as a 'group'. I know that one
student didn't have a strong enough internet connection, and therefore
wasn't able to fu
- I don't think group projects are that conducive for
online courses. I felt that that portoin was
much harder to do, and required a bit more stress than would of occured had the group work been done with an on
campus course.
- group work was hard b/c my group members are not tech
savvy
- Not knowing what my grade was
- I was not a fan of this class because we did just
about the same thing each week- read, post comment, respond to comment,
post again. After awhile it was
just busywork!
- getting help when you needed it.
- I dislike the fact that if I had questions I would
have to ask through email and wait for an answer.
- no face to face teacher teaching
- I wasn't always aware of the due dates for
assignments.
- Instructions weren't always plain.
- Nothing specific comes to mind, I enjoyed the course.
- Access portion of the course needs to be looked
at...this is a difficult program and needs a little more attention. this course is also extremely bias
toward Microsoft vista. A majority of the students use apple computers
with Microsoft suit installed.
- not being able to work ahead
- there was a signifcant lack
of direction and instruction. there was no real way for the instructor
to show or 'teach' how to do the lessons, we were just expected to
figure out the assignments on our own
- there was nothing that i
dislike
- sometimes its harder to
understand the instructions for an assignment without hearing them
verbally
- Alot of due dates that i could potentially forget
- I didn't dislike anything about the online course.
- I liked everything it was a great class. If i have to take anymore classes i
will definitely take Mr. Rooks. he is a great teacher and very helpful.
- The only thing that I found to dislike had to do with
WebCT. I wish there was a way to organize the
assignments and folders within a course on your WebCT.
i.e. This course had many assignments, but after they were completed and
turned in, they were still
- It was difficult to find the answers needed for some
of the exercises
- Just normal technology errors.
- Having so much to complete the final week of class. I
like to work ahead and the assignments weren't up fast enough.
- That I can't do most of the assignments at the very
beginning; I have to wait for the professor to post them. We should have
access to all the content from the beginning, so that if we want to
finish the course in a week, we may.
- Again, not much online other than doing the actual
program design and code.
- not being able to ask about poorly explained
questions on exams
- It was a little late in the day for my preference.
But I don't think that it was the teachers fault.
- Would have liked to be able to learn from the class
as much as possible through in classroom interaction and collaboration.
- wish i could take final
earlier
- I do not like that the system shuts down on Friday.
- It was hard to keep up with work because its so easy to forget to check online.
- workbook costs too much money.
- Sometimes my work was not submitted, when I thought
that it was. The Friday's that the server goes down was inconvient because I would always forget.
- Didnt really like the
instructor. He did nothing and made his TA do it all. He wouldnt even answer questioins
he refer me to her.
- Turning in my workbook on a day that I do not usually
come to campus because this is an online course.
- I would rather contribute to classroom discussions
because I learn more effeciently
- The teacher's response times to emails was rather
slow.
- I feel that having Statistics online is insane!!!
This course requires a hands on approach due to how much hardwork you must put into this course. Online is a bad idea.
- The professor posts videos of updates to the class,
but it could be up to a month before a posting. He said in his last video that the
final exam might or might not be in person. That is something that students need
to know so we can plan to be on campu
- I can't think of anything that I disliked about it.
- Sometimes e-mails were not responded to immediately.
- To make an 'A' in this class one only has to do
this: do the very easy
assignments get the test answers
from a friend
- Directions to assignments werent
clear.
- not hearing the lecture in person and having to find
all the needed info myself
- I found that professor's representations may be too
few for me.
- I lost the opportunity to communicate with
classmates.
- I found minimal complains.
- This course was very efficient.
- it can be hard to keep up with the class sometimes.
- the tests are given too great a percentage (75%) of
the course grade for 3 tests. The amount of work related to the other
25% of the class greatly outweighs the testing but is not given very much
significance in the overall grade. This should be changed.
- Not all critical questions were easy to answer.
- the teacher. I felt she asked to much for the class
and her test were ridiculous if you were not a major in mass comm.
- The availabilty of having a
teacher to ask questions.
- That there wasn't really a continuous discussion. For
example, if you responded to someone they didn't necessarily respond
back and so whatever conversation that could have happened in a
classroom setting did not.
- Not feeling a part of campus life.
- i liked everything
about it. nothing to really complain about
- That sometimes there where technical malfunctions
with the website
- nothing it was excellent.
- i didnt
dislike anything.
- Instructor feedback (lack of)
- Too little feedback and guidance about the work
required.
- The professor was very slow to respond to emails if
she even responded. Drop boxes were not set up for assignments.
- The availability of a teacher to ask questions.
- I didn't understand why I had to login everyday when
the class was scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays. I quess it
was set up this way to keep you from forgetting to log in.
- I liked everything about the online course.
- That we had to log on to westga
coursden everyday....some days i was unable to log on to the internet because of
internet problems.
- That if I had a question I couldn't just ask for
help. I prefer to ask for help in person.
- Lack of clarity/ high ambiguity level in quizzes and
such.
- The time limit of the quizes
- most of the stuff I already knew
- the quizzes were hard to catch onto at first
- Some of the requirements of assignments were
confusing but nothing major.
- The inlab help. The tutors
were not very helpful and patient
- I did not get extra points because I did not go to
the tutoring center.
- It was extremely easy to just leave alone, like
myself.
- If I had trouble it was a little difficult to fully
get the help I needed.
- Everything was limited on time. I had to rush to
finish projects
- How difficult some assignents
were, without clear explanations.
- The only thing that i did
not like was the ending time for the assignments which was at 11am.
- Sometimes I forgot to do a quiz.
- If I was unsure of instructions on an assignment
having to make time to go and recieve help
rather than with on campus classes you can ask the professor right then
- Time management was sometimes hard because I would
forget that assignments were due.
- Not enough interaction from the teacher.
- The fact that we were supposed to log in everyday to
be counted as present.
- The online tutoring only allows for one student to
get help at a time and the wait was long.
- The part that I didn't like was a particular assignment
that we had to 'speak' to a tutor. As for me personally, I understood
how to do everything, so I didn't think is was
fair that if we didn't 'speak' to a tutor on that assignment we were
only given ha
- I really have no complaints. I was able to get in contact with the
teacher despite it being an online course every time I've ever had
questions or concerns and it was always almost immediate responses I
received.
- quizes were too difficult
- Some of the directions were unclear
- that 4 projects were due within 4 weeks
- directions were not step by step. it was confusing to
just look at an example and have to mimic it.
- The lack of communication between instructor and
student for assitance.
- Not being able to talk to a teacher face-to-face
- I did not like that the availability of help was
mostly through peers that took the class. I understand that tutprs are available but with my class and work
schedule it is very difficult to see them.
- Not always knowing how to do things.
- I disliked that you only got ten minutes to do the
quizzes.
- points were taken away on little mistakes on the
assignments
- It was difficult to get questions answered.
- I didn't like how you had to log on every single day
or else it would be counted as an absence because sometimes its hard to get to a computer with internet if you
have a busy schedule or if you don't have internet at your house. I also
didn't like how at
- the time limit alloted to
take the quizzes
- no dislike... Just wont
take online agian
- The professor would not answer my e-mails that did
not have to do with the syllabus. I had an issure
regarding submitting an assigment and I never recieved a reply and therefore, got a zero for the
assignment.
- I did not like how some of the quiz questions were
very broad.
- deadlines and the assignments
- There wasn't really anything I disliked about the
course, I'll be honest.
- constant quizzes!
I would prefer a few larger tests to weekly quizzes.
- I was almost unable to attend the mandatory in-person
session, since my instructor was unwilling to discuss anything about the
course over e-mail, including the location of the mandatory meeting to
take the course. I did eventually
find the information,
- the lack of flexiblity with
one of my assignments
- I had no problems with this online course.
- nothing. everything was great.
- Not much-everything was there for me to use. For each
project I had step-by-step instructions on how to do to-it felt like I
was getting one-on-one class time.
- The instructor said at the beginning of the semester
in orientation to not email him unless we had questions about the
syllabus. I thought it was rude and unhelpful. I understand the class
was big and he preferred we go to the computer lab and talk to the
- I miss feeling a part of campus life.
- Interaction with students and teacher is less than in
the class room.
- VBA_excel assignment was hard
and very precise. It became fustrating when
you could not figure out what the problem was. There needed to be a
better format to follow, because nothing told me that I would have to
space out the codes. I dont like to guess a
- Sometimes it is easier to forget that there is an
assignment if I forget to remember to check online frequently.
- having to wait for answers to questions
- I disliked the idea that you had to contract an
computer expert online and go to the computer lab to get help with
assignments. I felt the professor could have been more helpful.
- there is no where to check
your status concerning logging in to the course
- I had to discipline myself to do the work
- the teacher was unwilling to help at all
- I don't really have any complaints.
- I didn't understand everything all the time. After I
got the hang of it, I was fine.
- nothing really. I was uncertain about exactly what my
professor wanted out of assignments at times, but I went with whta was most logical and ended up just fine.
- Too short of a time for the quizzes
- Nothing! It was all good!
- An assignment required that you speak to a tutor even
if you didn't need one. If you didn't speak, you got 50% of the credit
for that particular assignment.
- Having to sign in every day even when I did not have
to do any assignments.
- sometimes the grading was bad because i remember that i did a
portion of an assignment and the person that graded my assignment marked
that i did not do it, that was frustrating.
- short amount of time to answer and check quizes.
- The fact that we had to sign on every single day.
- The quizzes sometimes had questions on them that did
not seem to have a straight forward answer - like the scenario
questions. Also, not being able to know the correct answers to the
questions you missed once the quiz was graded.
- the wait on the grade time frame
- i don't know really
haven't really thought about it.
- the fact that i had
multiple questions and i never got any
responses to my emails
- I disliked the fact that the professor wouldn't
answer questions that weren't related to the syllabus.
- I didn't really dislike anything.
- that it was a bit harder only becasue
you didnt have a teacher telling you every
class when an assignment was due or when a quiz was but once you get the
hang of it its very easy to remember and to
get things done. Also when i had questions on
certain ass
- I can not complain about
anything.
- i wish i had a date limit to complete everything by a
certain time.
- I would sometimes forget I had an assignment due becasue there wasnt a
class where you were constantly reminded of the assignments that were
due.
- I didn't like that the quizzes were only open for ten
minutes. I feel it should at least be twenty minutes and I feel
assignments should be due at twelve on the day not eleven. Twelve is a
standard time.
- I liked everything about it!
- I disliked the amount of time given on the quizzes. I
feel that 15 minutes would have allowed me to achieve an A instead of a
B. I am not a fast reader and it was at times difficult for me to get
the answers in time allowed.
- Some of the reading material was boring, but it was
good information I had not head before.
- hard to get help if needed
- I didn't like that I could very easily forget about
when assignments and quizzes were due.
- I didn't really feel as if there were any portion of
this course that I had problems with
- If I had a question while reading I did not have an
instructor to ask questions to at the time. The online tutor required webcam
accessories I did not have so it was not useful.
- Everything was explained very well and all of my
questions were answered in the syllabus, but if I did have a question
about an assignment it seemed a little difficult to be able to ask my
professor.
- Working with the professor online. No communication.
- having to wait for the grade on the assignments
- The instructor does not answer questions about the
course content. For assistance, students must access a tech web site
which is sometimes helpful sometimes not
- There are so many little comments there and comments
there. No one talks that much
when they go to a face to face meeting.
- Some things I think I might have understood easier if
I was in a classroom and could ask the teacher questions as he taught.
- That it was hard to learn the stuff on my own on
difficult subjects.
- Whether online or not, the 'instructor' or people
facilitating the course must have a certain degree of intelligence and
competency when it comes to teaching anything, much less administering
such a course, and unfortunately neither were present in this i
- i did not all was
understand how to get my assingments
- cannoth think of anything.
- Not having the immediate response of a teacher to
interact with.
- Quizzes were difficult. They were more difficult than
the test.
- I like having an actual textbook to read and
study. It is difficult to read an
e-book.
- It's hard to teach yourself statistics.
- I think of anything I dislike about the online
portion of this course.
- Can't think of anything I didn't like.
- Have the test online as well, no need to have the
midterm and final in class. It is an ONLINE course.
- The fact that the professor regularly uses Microsoft
Paint to teach. He would attempt to write with Paint and constantly have
the screen zooming to areas that he wasn't talking about which made
student not be able to follow him since he would say things l
- Everything, terrible course to take online
- The additional fees and not having the face to face
instruction and the personal connection.
- I didn't like how the assignment usually wasn't put
up until Thursday and closed on Sunday. I think it should have been open
Monday- Friday.
- flexible hours were not long enough
- The sound on the videos were really bad. The videos had a lot of detailed
problems and great information on solving but much of the audio was not
clear. Please note that I did not
bring this to the professors attention because I was able to manager
with
- The Cost!!!
All of the online courses are too expensive. One of the reasons
that I chose my courses of study was the seemingly reasonable cost. The college has increased the price of
education, much to the detriment of the student population.
- I would like to see more course offered primarily
on-line.
- Lacking total faith in e-stuff and with my lack of
confidence in my dealings with a computer, I feel a little at its
mercy. Right now I am not sure my
emails have been received by my professor, because I have not heard back
from her. She has always resp
- Sometimes assignments and directions were unclear.
- There were no weekly deadlines.
- I always had trouble with my UWG email account.
- We used Wimba Live for a
couple of sessions of this class.
While this was useful, I prefer face to face instruction.

- Technical issues with login
- Technical problems became a frustration. There are too many different locations
to access cousework: CourseDen, etc...could
only allow access to some courses.
Other courses communicated through UWG website. Sometimes it all just got too
confusing.
- Face to Face meetings were inconvenient.
- Sometimes it was difficult to download information
that the professor needed us to have prior to class.
- the face to face interaction. Conversations took longer to happen
- I liked the online portion, but I am a person who
traditionally prefers face to face classroom instruction.
- I did miss the face to face interation
with the professor. I find those interasactions to be more rich. This was not due to the way the
professor conducted class, it was more the lack of interaction of the
other students.
- Sometimes it was hard to find the needed materials
for assignments.
- Very little communication from professor
- Unable to ask for help when working on assignments
late at night.
- I dislike the way every class has a different
organizational system. It makes
finding things very difficult.
- The tests were too messed up. I feel like the
questions weren't always worded correctly.
- The instructor was very unorganized which made it
difficult to know what was due and when. I have never had such an un-envolved and unorganized instructor.
- I did not dislike anything about the online portion
of this class.
- The lack of face to face time was a bit frustrating
at times. Due to the fact that the entire class was online, it was
difficult to have questions answered in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Clear communication with instructor is more difficult
- Nothing--it was a great course.
- At times some of the assignments were confusing. I
think that this course might be more enriching if it had a dew face to
face meetings throughout the semester. I think that Educational Research
is a rich content area. We all may have benefited from face
- Having to email my questions and wait for an answer.
- Lack of face to face interaction.
- I felt a little unsure about what I was supposed to
be learning during the semester, but the professor always was
encouraging and helpful! I really
don't have any complaints.
- The only thing I do not like about on line courses is
how impersonal they are. I like when I have a question being able to ask
it and get an immediate answer. I also miss being able to bounce ideas
off other students and the professor.

- When the website was down on Friday.
- this course was pretty good
- The group work.
Some didn't pull their weight, while others did alot. Hard to
get group together.
- Nothing- I really loved her class.
- I liked everything about it except doing group work.
I am a fulltime working student & it was hard for me to meet at the
same time the rest of my group could. Group work is good sometimes but
not for an online course.
- The field paper, I was really trying to make it look
like the sample because I wasn't sure what to write about.
- That I had to come to the first and last day of
class. If it's online, it should
be 100% online.
- I was very satisfied with this course.
- There are topics that I would have liked to discuss
in person.
- I am a procastonator and
found myself waiting to read or go to class.
- My lack of self discipline.
- The group assignment was somewhat difficult to
task. We all have different
schedules, which is why we chose this distance learning class. Trying to get the group project
together was very hard. Group
assignments should not be a part of online learning.
- it took me to long to
understand the setup. I should have ask for help sooner
- more notes on the formilas
- harder to teach your self
- Nothing. The class was great and well structured.
- nothing. I liked it being partially in-class and
partially online... it was a happy medium!
- The time to take the quizzes/tests seemed to pass by
too quick
- Sometimes bad internet connections
- The tests included so much material
- I didnt dislike any part of
the online portion for THIS course.
Sometimes online classes can have a few flaws but this one was
really great. I loved everything about this class.
- I like being able to ask questions in person. It is sometimes difficult to ask a
math question over email.
- It is likely not to attend the classes.
- Not much, this online class was not the typical
online class because I still met with my instructor face to face at
least twice a week.
- If i was unsure about a
assignment I would hae to send an email to the
instructor.
- Sometimes I am unsure if I am going in the right
direction.
- The GIS requires software, which was not provided.
- I had a hard time getting answers to questions.
- Lecture videos very inconvenient-- no fast forward.
- hard to get questions answered
- Nothing...I love the online courses.
- It was more difficult than a class that meets face to
face.
- Technical problems can be annoying. I forget about
Friday night maintenance.
- Being off line on weekends.
- course den kicking you out for no particular reason
- I need a little more face to face talk with my
professor. i also did not understand some of
the strategies to obtain information on my topic.
- like to be handson with a
teacher
- I do not have any dislike about this online course.
- I did not stay on top of the syallabus
- I often forget assignments.
- A little difficult to understand at first.
- too much busy work!!! i
feel like when students receive too much busy work to do, it takes the
focus away from actually learning, and retaining what they learned in
the first place!
- Everything about the course.
- Except for sometime being
thrown out of the computer system, there was not anything that I did not
like.
- I disliked the tests; I do better I think with
sitting in a classroom to take an exam rather than taking them online.
It was sometimes stressful for me.
- I would rather be in a face to face class. I do
better when I have someone rigfht there
telling me something to do.
- I'm not a fan of online classes. This course just
happened to be online. I like to be able to be in a classroom
environment and work with my teacher and others in my class.
- The twelve page paper due at the end of the semester,
I have other classes I am involved in.
- Having to wait until my question could be answered in
an e-mail.
- Harder to get in touch with teacher
- The confusion of everyday posts. There was too much
info put up.
- You basically teach yourself everything especially
since my textbook is online also.
- This class was entirely online. I took Learning
Support Algebra last semester with Karen Rollins. She was awesome and I made a 98 in the
class. Because I did so well, I felt confident taking College Algebra
online. I felt like the material covered in the
- the two test taken in person, i
already had payed way more for this online
class then i would of if i
took it in the class room, which i did not
understand because the teacher for an online class is not as involved as
a class in person, but then i had to
- It was difficult to figure things out on my own
- Not being able to personally speak to your teacher
day to day
- The course was entirely online. I didn't like the
fact that there wasn't a class meeting. It helps to hear the instructor
talk while the notes are being given.
- The 5 discussions per week requirement. For this type of course, we (as in
each member of the class) could probably have had only 1-2 per week on
average if we didn't have problems to ask about with the homework.
- Hard to ask questions about particular topics
- I cannot think of anything
- What I find with online courses is that at times you
do not have that immediate access to a professor as one would in a
traditional course. If you need an immediate answer to a question, you
could get that in a traditionally taught course. With an online
- I do not like online classes. There is always more
work than regular face to face classes and I never feel as though I
understand the material as well by the end of the semester.
- Professor's lack of communication through email and
through late assignment postings
- Everything was discussed in the sylabus
so there were no dislikes.
- I miss the face-to-face interaction with the
instructor.
- There was SO much more work than any non-online
course I've ever taken.
- It was a lot of work.
Really--it was too much.
Just overwhelming sometimes.
- Little communication with other class members.
- I was at the professors expense and this was
detrimental. She never had assignments up on time or graded in a timely
fashion.
- Some of the projects were lengthy and I felt like we
could have had more time to complete them.
- I disliked not being able to interact with my
classmates.
- The teacher completely disregarded our class. She did
not grade a single assignment until nearly the last couple weeks of
school. Literally our assignments from the first week of school went
ungraded for months. We had no idea where we stood until long af
- There isn't anything I really dislike about an online
course. If you have questions the professor or fellow students is just
an email away. I normally don't think of a question about an assignment
until I'm home and working on it anyway.
- Knowing that you do not have that immediate feedback
that you have in the classroom
- It was a hassle doing some of the work because i do not have internet access at home.
- I expected it going in, but it sucked that I had
practice on weekends for Drum Corps and student taught on Tuesday and
Thursday. So computer access was an issue at times. Because of the
nature of computers, I was able to put little effort into assignments
- The professor did not upload assignments for several
weeks at a time, then when she did we had little time to complete them.
She did not go by her schedule or syllabus. And, she never responded to
our concerns or e-mails.
- Nothing was graded on time and I could never get any feed back from the teacher. We did not have any idea
what we were supposed to be doing. We did not even get to complete all
the assignments because she never got back to us.
- Can't say anything negative about the course, except
that i do not like the way UWGA's email system
is set up as far as their 'send to' contact list...being that you can
only email to people within the UWGA system. This is totally different from other
un
- I wasn't always sure if I was doing everything I was
supposed to. (i.e. when assignments weren't posted for a couple of
weeks.)
- I am old-fashioned and non-traditional and when
things don't go as planned I sometimes panic...uggghhh!!
- Nothing, I believe it was fair...
- There was a LONG turn around for grades!
- I would have liked to have the assignments maybe two
or three weeks aad of time, in order to work
ahead.
- I enjoyed the class. There was nothing to dislike.
- Time management is crucial with online courses and
managing my time wisely was a challenge at times.
- I was unable to get a response when I had issues and
my issues were never resolved, creating a situation where I almost gave
up on the course, however I had to have it to graduate.
- the discussions that we posted online weren't very
helpful
- the complicated directions in different places. the assignments are too long and ask
for too much, all the work we had to do is not be required to learn
technology, thus shouldn't be part of this course.
- There were times when I could have used more face to
face instruction for certain projects.
- There were times that I had to wait for answers due
to my working late nights. On a
positive note, I always got a great response within 24 hours.
- I disliked the impersonal feeling that I got from
communicating with the professor online. with a face-to-face course, if
I have a question about the material, I can speak with the professor and
receive clarity at that precise moment; however, with this c
- I would prefer to take classes on campus that you
attend. I prefer the human
interaction, and I feel that I learn and accomplish more this way. I wish the Graduate school offered
more campus classes for those who wish to take them. I felt like the inst
- I guess I am just an old fashioned student. I just do
not seem to get the same sense of learning and accomplishment out of
online classes. I feel much more comfortable being able to 'go' talk to
a professor versus skyping them etc.
- 1 Face-to-face meeting that grade depends upon. I think that if you can respond to a
message or something before a certain date, you shouldn't have to go to
a face-to-face unless needed.
- It was not very easy to understand certain directions
for projects.
- The online discussion were too structured - too many
'rules' for how/what to post.
- Instructions were somewhat vague or disorganized in
their format and it made it hard to complete projects or
discussions. Also, the internet
and CourseDen is not perfect and can cause problems with missed
deadlines which cannot be helped.
The discussion
- Had a few issues with java at first when submitting
my assignments but that was resolved quickly
- The books did not seem to be needed to succeed on the
tasks. This was a large expense and seems unnecessary.
- Working on several group assignments was a challenge.
- Occasions when lines weren't working well and I got
bumped offline.
- Didn't have any problems or complaints about the
online course.
- I am a first semester student and just figuring out
how the whole webct thing worked was a little
frustrating... it was really rushed during orientation and a lot of
information was thrown at you. It was kind of a sink or swim to figure
it out.
- I needed a lot of time to get oriented to it.
- Teaming up with people we met one time was a
challenge. I get more information
in large group discussions than reading others' works. In person, I
would never hold back from asking a question in class, but I felt the
need to hold back questions online so
- nothing- only issue was with java and that was
quickly remedied
- It was difficult to work in groups on some of the
projects.
- Not knowing when you would get your grades.
- There wasn't anything I really disliked about the
online portion of the course except for fees related to tuition. I came
to campus for three face to face class resulting in about 9 hours on
campus. The fees associated with this class because it was a 'D'
- My only dislike of any online course is the forced
response to other people's comments.
It can get so repetitive after a while, as another student will
say something so simple and we are required to come up with an
insightful response. I would
rather re
- The potential for technical difficulties on my end of
the technology.
- Some things were confusing at first but with the
Professors help I understood it.
- More than one face to face session is not
necessary. If this is a distance
learning class, I think using WebCam is
sufficient.
- More work is assigned because we don't meet
face-to-face.
- Workload was heavy and would like to spend more time
focusing on specific assignments and not so many that it feels like a
race to the finish.
- Teacher does not always answer emails.
- Communication is difficult for group projects.
- too much research, good print sources not conviently available
- The Cost!!!!
It's ridiculous that online courses should cost so much and even
more ridiculous that online students should have to pay for such things
as activity fees, stadium fees, health fees, etc.
- There are too many face to face sessions for this to
be a distance learning course.
- The face to face class requirements. I would have
preferred to use Wimba or had the option to
use Wimba instead. The group assignment/presentation. It
was difficult to collaborate with others that you do not see on a
regular basis. I would have preferre

- I did have some initial problems logging on to the
webcam portion of the class.
- The price tag!!
Stop increasing the cost of education!!! You will end up with fewer students.
- Projects to space out - I would have rather had
weekly assignments. I would have
learned a lot more that way.
- I did not like Live Classroom. I found that it was not intuitively
labeled in Vista and that it was very restrictive (ie,
did not play nice with Explorer, no test for video). Tutorials for use
were not available from what I could tell too, so there was n
- Having to work in a group. I prefer to work at my own
pace.
- I did not like that Dr. **** assignments are due at
9:59 P.M. I would much rather the assignments be due at midnight!
- If I had questions I didn't have someone to ask... I
usually got feedback fairly quickly though. I would have like to have had a
calendar that went along with the syllabus. There was not a consistant due date for the projects--every tuesday for example--
- Some of the assignment links given were not accurate
which made early projects difficult and more confusing. I do understand
links change, but it made it harder as a new uncertain student.
- There was nothing I disliked about the online portion
of this course.
- That it included Face to Face sessions.
- Some of the technology had problems but were fixed
very soon
- could of used more f2f time
- I disliked that materials on Courseden
seemed to be all over the place. I felt like I had to search through too
many folders to get to what I needed.
- Final course reflection, foliotek,
fe summary were very similar in nature and
therefore redundant
- Pushed me...I really learned a lot and was exposed to
so many things I did not even know about before.
- Some of our grades were released in a timely fashion,
and some from the beginning of the course we have yet to see.
- I was comfortable with the online portion of this
course.
- Nothing, Drs. *** and *** make it easy to know what
is expected and how to do it.
- Nothing; it went really well.
- I don't like that I don't really know my classmates,
but that's about it.
- I like face-to-face meetings
- CourseDen kicked me out a lot this semester. It was
worse than it has ever been.
- I always feel it takes me time to adjust to where
assignments are located (folders, etc.) the first few weeks of
class. I wish there was some sort
of standard format for professors.
- Not enough face time.
Questions can be cleared up so much easier face to face than
sending ten emails.
- I had no problems with this at all.
- The variances in format from class to class. (For example, some people use the
calendar for all assignments, some use it for just some assignments, and
others don't use it at all.)
- The set up of the class web page
- I did not dislike anything about the online portion
of this course.
- I have no dislikes pertaining to this course.
- Traveling over 3 hours one way
- No dislikes to mention. I liked everything.
- I don't like that maintenance is scheduled when we
have assignments due. Our
assignments may say 11:59 PM Friday but the maintenance starts up at 10
PM and the site is then UNAVAILABLE.
Professors need to be aware of this and make assignments due at oth

- It's hard to get to know people.
- CourseDen is slow and kicked me out a lot
- I always feel that it takes me time to adjust to
where assignments are, etc.
However, I will say that Dr. ****'s format is especially
organized, and other professors should model her webpage layout.
- For me, face time is so much more effective than on
line. I would like to hear more
about the professors personal experiences and do more hands on technical
projects.
- I have no dislikes about the online portion of this
course.
- The class discussions were too contrived. I prefer that this happen on a more
natural basis. I believe that is more akin to what you would experience
in a face to face class. A
question is presented to the class and students respond as they think of

- Sometimes I did have trouble posting assignments a
certain way.
- Not enough courses on-line.
- Group project was more difficult than it would have
been by myself.
- The group chats - my group was slow to discuss.
- Not knowing when you would get your grades.
- There wasn't any part of the class that I didn't enjoy. I was able
to access assignments at my leisure, was provided with many helpful
tutorial videos, and the class was very organized overall.
- There is no part I dislike about this course.
- I did not have any dislikes.
- Not being familiarwithDreamweaver
- The confusion of some of the due dates
- The rigidity. Ex. Discussions locked at 12:01AM
- The time it took to receive professor feedback,
unless you were willing to call.
- Problem with virtual lab...bought own software
- The Virtual Lab did not work for several critical
weeks.
- It was difficult to deal with the virtual lab.
- the lack of current feedback. the professor did not
respond to emails. the technology needed for the class was not
available.
- When there were issues with the technology, it was
difficult to get in touch with the professor.
- the problems experienced with the virutal
lab even though it saved us from purchasing software
- That my professor was hardly ever available, and when
she was the answers were not very helpful.
- Could not get answers quickly.
- I thought that the class could have been organized
better on courseden. It seemed like you had to
go to 10 places to find 5 items.
- Group projects with students that live very far away

- Only when I had technical problems on my end did I
became frustrated.

- Although all assignments were useful and relevant,
there was an extremely heavy workload requirement.
- The site was not as navigable as I would have liked
it.
- I loved it all. All of the material/activities were
extremely beneficial and fun.
- There are times I'd like to put a face with the names
I've been reading over and over, so it might be nice to have at least
one face-to-face meeting per class.
- nothing. The course was complain-free
- There is nothing that I disliked.
- There is a lot to navigate through to find what you
need.
- No dislike from the course
- I think there was a good flow of information between
the professor and the students and among the students. I would have liked a group project to
get to know a few classmates better.
I find I gravitate to people I have worked with successfully in

- I don't dislike anything about the course.
- I liked everything about the course.
- Research was a tough topic and I sometimes felt like
I needed more face to face interaction.
- I felt like the readings from the book needed further
discussion. It is terribly hard to dissect research terminology. I felt
disconnected throughout this course. I also felt like we were not given
feedback in a timely manner.
- Foliotek has a lot of issues
that need to be worked out.
- Foliotek! Very user unfriendly! Dr. *** was the first professor I had
in class who knew much about Foliotek.
- Frequently the online site would revert to that page
that has a list of all the schools because something went wrong, and I
would lose whatever I had typed so far. Also, sometimes when I had read all
messages the message/discussion icon still appeared

- not having that immediate feedback

- it took me longer than two weeks to get a handle of
the operation.
- Tests were only allowed on a specific day in a
certain time frame.
- Nothing really it was easy and self-explanatory
- no complaints - excellent course
- Worst on-line class I have taken out of 20+ on line
classes. It was basically read the book and take some tests. No
homework, no on line discussions, no video lessons regarding problem
solving. Each one of these would have made the on-line experience more

- there are only four tests. no homework or quizes or particpation to
help your grade. its a whole lot of material
to learn on your own and take the tests.
- The lack of instructor guidence
and williness to help. I emailed the professor repeadily throughout the course, and his answer to
my problem was, 'buy the study guide.' WHICH I ALREADY OWNED. Never once did he make it easy to
schedule a meeting or tutor
- Everything. The exams were computer generated and
computer graded. The professor was no help and did nothing for the
course except post all of his poor grades.
- only 4 tests, no quizes. it
was hard to know if you were doing the work right with no practice.
- hev had stuff due when
course den was down and i got a zero but it
was never changed yet. a lot of my grades still neverv
came through. i tried contacting him but he
never got back to me in time.
- All of it. E-mails response was late. Jian sucks.
- I didnt like this class on
line... The material was confusing at time... Not enough information given...
Too much was expected from the instructor in a small amount of time...
- Submitting through webct
was somewhat difficult
- teacher is hard to contact
- I disliked the fact that my professor wasn't very
familiar with using course den in an online class capacity. There were a
number of situations that presented themselves that he didn't know how
to deal with. It made this class frustrating at times.
- At first I disliked the online simulation mainly
because it was a lot to take it all at once. However, as I began to understand it
better, I actually enjoyed doing it.

- Generally, I like to work alone. I did not like
having to depend on others that were in my group to ensure that
assignments were being completed and turned in on time.
- This course is much too difficult to be covered
completely online. It's purpose is to use
everything I've learned in college and combine it into one course. Muuuchhh more discussion, instruction, and support
is needed for a course of this nature than can
- In the beginning it seemed like too much work - I had
to get on a schedule that fit into my already busy schedule.
- The group work was really difficult to manage without
being face-to-face
- Long distance team based assignments.
- I disliked not being able to interact with others.
- This class should not be offered online. I spent more
time working with my group than I did on any other class I have. The
reason I took it online was because of its convenience, but it quickly
became more inconvenient than any other of my six classes. I
- Too many 'little' assignments
- a lot of busy work - made it seem like a high school
class
- You have to stay on top of your own work and make
sure you get it done on time. Takes more responsibility
- I dont like the fact I pay
more for the classes and never see a professor or step on campus. It
seems it would cost less if your not on
campus. The course materials are also over priced.
- we had a group project to do and it was hard to get
everyone together at the same time to meet
- I didnt learn a thing, i wish the adverstsing
class was in a classroom.
- The teacher was more of a slacker than the students
- Didn't open all coursework in advance
- The thing I disliked was sometimes webct would not work and made it hard to submit
class work.
- there wasn't anything that i
disliked.
- I had trouble finding an assigment
online and it took the professor over a day to let me kno where it was.
- I truly got aggravated and discouraged when I worked
very hard on an assignment such as a case study, at the beginning of the
semester,and as I went to submit my work;
thinking that I would receive a good grade. I then discovered that I
made a zero on the
- It's nearly impossible to participate in a group
assignment with people you have never met in person. It would be a
little easier if everyone had free schedules but since that is not the
case it may be in the best interest of the teacher and school to eli
- I would rather go over the learning modules in
class. I like the traditional in
class meeting but I think online aspects can be incorporated into the
class. I did not like the set up
of the powerpoint slides. My teacher has slightly vroken english. I
- The group case. I take the online courses becuase I live far away from the school campus.
Everyone in my group lived on campus, it was hard for me to get there to
work on the project as a whole.
- What I didnt like was that webct sometimes wasn't working.
- Sometimes I would forget I had assignments due
- CourseDen shut down on me during an exam which I
ended up failing becuase of it.
- Course materials are really over
priced. My USED book was one hundred sixty four dollars
- Everything was pretty fair and easy to complete. I do
not have any complaints.
- This class needs to be less online due to the nature
of the information being so challenging. It cannot be learned adequately
online.
- This course was difficult.
- I'm not a computer savvy student so the concept is
new to me. It took me some time to learn how to use the drop box. I got
very nervous when time came to drop information into the box. I was late
a couple to times.
- I had to teach myself alot of
the material.
- some responses were trite on a level that college
students would not try to get away with in person. The delayed response
was also a factor.
- Instructions were not always clear for the
assignments.
- limited interaction. Sometimes learn from what others ask
in class.
- I missed the face to face interaction with peers and
live lectures
- Would have been helpful to have an introductory
course (1 hour) to include basics, guidelines, advanced use for
presentations, etc.
- An option to resubmit assignments in the drop box
would be helpful.
- Occasionally, there was disconnections from the
classroom and we could not hear.
- Minimal feedback from instructors, more updates,
timely response to assignments
- It would be helpful to resubmit an assignment in the
drop box
- this class was extremely difficult due to the type of
class. This class would have been more beneficial meeting face to face
- Would have been helpful to have more instruction
prior to use by IT.
- it would be helpful to an option to resubmit an
assignment
- Need more tutorial on presenting in the wimba classroom
- sometimes computers may have glitches
- The instructor, Mrs. Mona Smith, was unorganzied and not prepared. Her coursden page was messy and hard to understand. Her
directions were unclear. Her quizes were failry reasonable except when we had to create a
lesson plan in 30 mintues with standards a
- I didn't like the fact that technology is not always
reliable. Sometimes the quizzes wouldn't be posted on time and the
narrated powerpoints wouldn't be narrated,
which causes a problem when I had planned to do it at a certain time.
- The teacher had a hard time either accessing Webct or did know how to use the program.
- This class was not online
- nothing, I didn't dislike any portion
- Again not really any online portion.
- i dont
think i learned as much as i
would have from in class lectures
- Sometimes it took a long time for the teacher to
reply to emails. The course itself was a great program.
- Nothing really. It was all very clear.
- i think the test also should
have been online
- Sometimes I forgot to take the quizzes.
- The large amount of pages that i
had to print off.
- It wasn't up to date at some points.
- I didn't like using a book that was terribly written.
- Honestly, I do not believe the instructor actually
taught the material for this course.
The majority of the class involved viewing student-created powerpoints and responding to questions concerning
the presentations. The material for this class was entir
- I got behind easily with the never ending postings
because there were no scheduled meetings face- to- face.
- So many discissions. Nobody talks taht
much at a face to fact classroom meeting.
- The 2 teaching lessons that had to be videotaped and
mailed to group members.
- The lack of face to face participation and the lack
of clear instructions from the professor.
- The course load was a bit unreasonable and time
consuming!
- The class information is disorganized. There is no ability to meet with other
students to discuss and try to understand. Many assignements
are unclear and it has been frustrating to try to understand what is
expected when you never meet with a class and
- Nothing, I have no complaints about the course.
- Didn't do any hands-on-acftivities
- the slides have no rewind or fast forward
- I disliked not being able to discuss the projects or
issue we were haveing with it in the
classroom.
- videos can be sluggish, it would be great if there
were a master library in conjuction with the
main library or something that made access a little easier.
- the face that i had to get
online and look to see if we had anything to do that day
- The time that the work was due.
- It used two sections which was confusing at first.
- The only thing I disliked was that sometimes I would
have trouble with the videos not playing, but that's it.
- Having to wait for answers if needed vis email response
- If you are unclear of instructions or have more
questions about assignments not being able to ask them right then in
class.
- Hard to remember when assignments were due because
there was no reminder since we did not meet face to face.
- There was nothing really that i
disliked. There were times when the videos would not pull up but Mrs.
Anderson go them fixed.
- I did not like how the material was set up by the i-help website. I found the confusion of the
materials I needed to access having an affect
on my grades.
- That sometimes videos that I had to watch for the
class wouldnt show, and then I would get a
zero for that assignment.
- Sometimes it is hard to find time just to sit down
and do the work, but when you have a class meeting face to face you are
suppose to go and it makes you go so you won't miss anything important.
- Not having a professor teach me face-to-face.
- I dont have any complaints
about the course.
- I hated how there was only a 24 hour grace period on
being able to view the assignment and to actually complete it.
- Actually i enjoyed tha whole course
- I wish this course met in person more often.
- That you could easily forgot about an assignment and
miss it, that you could get behind if you did not check it regularly.
and that there was not like an option have it send a text message to my
phone to give a courseden or class update and
warnings.
- Quite alot of work and
sometimes video links didn't didn't work
properly.
- the tests were challenging and the material I had to
teach myself.
- There wasn't much I didn't like about this portion of
the course.
- Sometimes I didn't know what was going on.
- That the test were not able to be checked over before
they were sumbitted, and that if the
connection was slow it took longer for the asssignment
or test to load.
- The quizzes would time out for 2 - 4 minutes when I
was only allowed 25 minutes for 25 questions and that was very irksome!
- I did not dislike anything. Everything was easy to
understand and updated on time.
- Nothing, I have no complaints about the course.
- The lectures and PowerPoints
were boring. They were from another teacher, not even the person I am
taking.
- I did not like how the narration videos were not
available for download...It would have been more helpful in powerpoint form.
- Technical issues, and site maintenance on Friday
evenings.
- I had some trouble with WebCT
but the professor was very prompt and helpful.
- the fact that you cannot see your revolving
grade. I like to know what my
class average is at all times so that I know if I have to work any
harder than I already am.
- it was fuzzy on when we would have class many times i came to campus thinking we had class when we didn'tr and my next clss
on that day was 3 hours after this class so where i
live it would be useless to go home i would
just have to come back as soon as i
- the teacher didn't know courseden
that much and fixing mistakes was impossible even though the mistakes
were her own
- There wasn't anything that I disliked.
- Feedback isn't as instant as face-to-face.
- I liked all portions of this course. This is the type
of class designed for online access.
- When we were confused about assignments we were often
not given clarification. We were
often told to just refer back to the syllabus, but often we had already
read the syllabus and we were still confused. More clarification on certain subjects
would be
- I feel that with this online class, I basically taught
myself all the information. The
text was put into slide shows and that was the extent of presenting the
information. I don't feel that
helped me learn. Group work is a
nightmare. Group members don
- Unlike, classes which meet face-to-face, whenever I
had a question/concern, I had to email my professors and wait for a
response. My professors responded
in a timely manner. However, it
can get annoying trying to have a conversation through email.
- I was very afraid of taking an online class because I
felt I would not be able to keep up with the assignments or complete the
assignments through the technology portion. After getting use to the way things
work - I have enjoyed this class very much.
- I did not like that I was not able to get immediate
feedback from my professor, like I would in a traditional classroom
setting. However, she did a great
job with responding to my emails in a timely manner.
- Still having to go to class on certain days.
- The time it took for a response to questions.
- sometimes the timeliness of teacher to student
response
- Sometimes it was difficult to get intouch
with the instructor with questions and concerns.
- response time teacher to student
- I ended up really liking the professor, so in some
ways, I wish we would have had more online meetings! BUT the low number
of necessary meetings was the main reason I signed up for the class
(because it fit in my schedule)
- the teachers grading scale
- i would have like
longer time periods for assignments and quizzes to be opened
- It was more difficult then
my other classes.
- Not having a face to face teacher
- I could not get an immediate response if I needed it
in the middle of a math equation.
- The professor did not allow us to submit assignments
online.
- I didn't like that I had little communication with
the professor.
- Internet interference. Not being able to always
access course den.
- I disliked the fixed deadlines to turn in
information. I prefer to be able to work at my own pace.
- I have no dislikes. The online portion of this course
was very well organized and conceived.
- Didn't have enough access
- Difficult to follow directions.
- Some things were hard to view sometimes and I am not
good with technology
- I wish the assessments were more clearly labeled.
- I'm not a big fan of deadlines. I prefer to be able
to work at my own pace.
- Group work in on-line courses is hard because there
is no accountability.
- I had no dislikes with this course.
- It was difficult coordinating a group project...even
with a designated discussion area.
- Time management is crucial with online courses and
managing my time wisely was a challenge at times.
- I really enjoy interacting with my classmates and
instructor and I miss that when we do not meet face to face. However,
Dr. **** does a wonderful job of being available for questions and any suppport her student might need.
- Sometimes assignments were unclear or things needed
were hard to find.
- There was a lot of confusion with submitting many of
the assignments. There were many nights when the students were calling
each other trying to firgure out what we
needed to do about various technological problems.
- I would have liked to had the opportunity to address
confusion with the professor face to face rather than through email
which can take awhile to get an answer back.
- I did not like that i had
to wait a long time to get my grades back
- Responsiveness or the lack there of by the instructor
for timely feedback of grades.
- Response to assignments were delayed. There could have been quicker
responses.
- I feel like there is more reading/work in an online
course. I would like to interact
with my professor face to face more often.
- Sometimes technical difficulties
- I enjoyed the online portion.
- I miss the interaction of students and the professor
that you get during class sessions.
- Nothing, Dr. ***** is very good at organizing online
courses.
- I didn't like not getting feedback quickly.
- The material that was online was not presented
clearly. Due dates were not presented clearly and neither were
instructions.
- There is little face to face time. Dr. **** page was confusing and disorganized at
times.
