Question 14:  What did you like about the online portion of this course?

 

  • flexibility of classes.  able to do a lot of the work at my own pace.  clearly not having to drive to

Carrollton everyday.

  • I could take the test at 1 or 2 o'clock  in the morning.  The time for online classes are very flexible.

the class could all talk to each other on the discussion board.

  • The entire class was online. I liked that I did not have to be in class at a certain time. Instead  I

simply had to turn in assignments by the deadlines. I also communicated with more people in my

online course than I would have in a regular course.

Sometimes I was working at 11pm at night or at 7am in the morning. As an adult with job and

family responsibilities it was great!

  • You’re able to work at your own pace without the distraction of others. Many people get caught

up in talking about different subjects which irritates me when I am paying for that particular class.

and the times always vary. As a stay at home Mom I don't need to find a sitter. It has worked

  • I enjoyed being able to work in groups as well as independently.  Dr. Putney was very informative

and very understanding of her students.  I really enjoyed her.

  • It was easy for me to work at my own pace and fit the assignments into my busy schedule.
  • It was easy to work from home  after work  and did not need a sitter. The professor was clear

and concise in her directions.  All assignments were easy to access and comprehend.

spend hours listening to others who had different concentrations than I.

student helper for the course very much.

  • You didn't have to stick to a set time to be in class.  You knew what to expect from the beginning.

  • That I did not have to drive from LaGrange to Carrollton. Also  I got to spend that driving time

with my child instead of sacrificing her for another degree.

or during any free time that I might find during the day.

I live over 60 miles from campus and it takes me at least 1 hr. and 20 minutes to get to campus in

Carrollton  at least 45 minutes to get to the Newnan campus  so not have to travel was a bonus.

  • Allows for flexibility - the student can access WebCT from any computer and from every state.
  • It gave me extra time to work on my assignments because I didn't have to drive to the Newnan

campus.

  • I liked that I could take this class and participate even though I live more than 85 miles away from

campus.

to and from the UWG campus.  Also  I was able to take care of things here while I was taking class 

something I would not have been able to do had I had to attend class on campus.

  • The chat room discussions were motivating. The bulletin board discussions provided great

strategies: I learned a lot from them.  It was easy to get the articles we needed to read.
