STATE UNIVERSITY OF WEST GEORGIA DISTANCE & DISTRIBUTED EDUCATION CENTER

M.Ed in Media

(Media Specialist Track Plan A and Instructional Tech Track Plan B )

The programs in Media and Instructional Technology are designed to prepare school library media specialists, directors of media services, instructional technologists, and instructional technology coordinators at the graduate level. The programs lead to Georgia Department of Education certification at the NS-4, S-5, and S-6 levels. The MIT dept offers most of its courses in the Master of Education in Media & Instructional Technology and certification programs via distance education technologies. A "cohort"group can be negotiated if there is sufficient interest from a particular geographical area (at least 12 participants).

Of the MIT courses using distance technologies, courses are delivered via GSAMS and/or online (using WebCT).Synchronous class meetings, whether through distance technologies or not, are typically offered on Monday- Thursday evenings from 4:30-7:00 pm. For more specific info please see: http://www.westga.edu/~rmt/(primary contact: Dr. Barbara McKenzie mailto:bmckenzi@westga.edu

See the 2 charts below to find out just how much of the 2 M.ED programs can be achieved at a distance...
