Editing Web Pages and HTML files

If you already have an HTML file created, you can certainly use SeaMonkey Composer to edit it's content. In order to do this, you will need to open the file in Composer:

  1. Go to the "Window" menu and choose "Composer." You should see the Composer window appear.
  2. Open the "File" menu and choose "Open File." The Open HTML File dialog box will appear.
  3. On your local hard drive (or network drive), locate the file that you want to edit and select it.
  4. Click Open to display the specified file in Composer.

Tip: In the Composer window you can quickly open the most recent file you've been working on by opening the "File" menu, choosing "Recent Pages," and then selecting the file you want from the list.

Seamonkey Composer also gives you the option of editing pages veiwed in Navigator. To edit a page you're currently browsing in Navigator:
Go to the "File" menu and choose "Edit Page." A Composer window will appear which will contain the page you were viewing.
