Login Problems

Username and password problems

Your "CourseDen ID" = your myUWG e-mail username (ex: jsmith12). Click here to search for your myUWG assigned e-mail username/ CourseDen ID and Password- Put in either your SS# or your student 917#, in order to do the search.

At the start of every term, your initial default "Password" is the last two digits of your birth year followed by the last four digits of your social security number. However, if you change your myUWG password, or Banner Password PIN, your CourseDen password will not change. If you need help, contact distance@westga.edu or 678-839-6248

If you feel that your password is not working, you must contact CourseDen support to have your password reset. Be certain to include your Vista log on username in any e-mail you send. If you choose to call 678-839-6248, have your log on username available for whoever answers the phone.

To avoid future password problems

Once you have logged on to CourseDen, you will find the "Change Password" link in the upper right hand side of your My CourseDen page. Be sure to fill in the secret question. This will help if you ever forget your password.

Log-on Loop

If you are trying to log on from home and you keep getting sent back to the list of universities do the following:


Internet Explorer 8 Users:

  1. Click on "Tools".
  2. Click on "Internet Options".
  3. Click the "Privacy" tab.
  4. Push the "Advanced" button.
  5. Check "Override Automatic Cookie Handling".
  6. Check "Always allow session cookies".
  7. Click "OK".
  8. Close and re-open your browser for the changes to take affect.



Clearing Cookies and Cache in Internet Explorer:

  1. Click on "Tools"
  2. Click on "Internet Options"
  3. Under the General Tab
  4. Click the "Delete" button under "Browsing History
  5. Select "Temporary Internet Files" and "Cookies"
  6. Click "Delete" button at bottom
  7. Exit browser and log back into CourseDen

Firefox Users:

Clearing Cookies and Cache in Firefox:

  1. Click on "Tools"
  2. Click on "Clear Recent History"
  3. In the "Time Range to Clear" Dropdown > Select "Everything"
  4. Click the "Details" button below to expand
  5. Select "Cookies" and "Cache" only
  6. Click "Clear Now" button at bottom
  7. Exit browser and log back into CourseDen

Google Chrome Users:

Clearing Cookies and Cache in Google Chrome:

  1. Click on "Wrench Icon" (Icon is located at the top, right corner of the browser)
  2. Click on "Options"
  3. Select "Under the Hood"
  4. In the "Obliterate the following items from:" Dropdown > Select "The Beginning of Time"
  5. Click the "Details" button below to expand
  6. Select "Empty the cache" and "Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data" only
  7. Click "Clear Browsing Data" button at bottom
  8. Exit browser and log back into CourseDen
