Transferring Files
Now that you have dragged and dropped your files into the appropriate folder, another dialog box will appear. This box allows you to set file permissions so users can see certain files and you can disallow other files. If you do not change the file permissions, users will be unable to view your webpages.
- Click the "Set Permissions" check box. Now, check all of the boxes.
- Once you're done, click Copy.
- Your files will be transferred to the desired folder.
Properties Bar
- Directory drop down: Sort for your files/folders on your computer.
- Back
- Forward
- Go to Parent folder
- Go to Root folder
- Home: takes the user to there orignal folder
- Refresh
- Show/Hide directory tree
- Directory drop down: Sort for your files/folders on the server
- Click on the file. Then you can choose rename to change the file name.
- Click on the file. Then you can choose edit to change the source code.
- Click on the file. Then you can choose copy. This will then allow you to choose a location to place another similiar document.
- Click on the file. Then you can choose move. This will then allow you to choose a location to place the document.
- Creates new folder.
- Delete.
- Properties.
- Exit WinSCP.
