David Jenks received his Ph.D. from Florida State University and is currently a Professor at The University of West Georgia. His research interests include police structure and organization, comparative/international policing, and integrating research and practice. Recent publications include articles on policing and new trends in education.

Dr. Jenks appeared on CNN, the History Channel, and various other media outlets to discuss current events involving police action.

He previously worked for numerous agencies including the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council of the United Nations, the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces, the Los Angeles Police Department, and the United States Department of State.
