David A. Jenks received his Ph.D. from Florida State University and is currently an Associate Professor at The University of West Georgia. His research interests include police structure and organization, comparative/international policing, and integrating research and practice. Recent publications include articles on police organization and police corruption.

Dr. Jenks has appeared on CNN's Connie Chung tonight, the History Channel, and various other media outlets to discuss current events involving police action.

He has worked for the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council of the United Nations, the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces, the Los Angeles Police Department, and the United States Department of State.
