Recent America: The United States Since 1945
Course description:
History 5473 offers graduate students an opportunity to explore the major cultural, political, and social trends in American history from 1945 to the present, with a focus on historiographical issues of special interest to graduate students. The course gives students an opportunity to practice their analytical and communication skills through discussions, a research paper assignment, and extensive reading of recent monographs in the field.
