Graduate Seminar: Liberalism and Conservatism in Postwar America
Course description:
History 6687 offers graduate students an opportunity to analyze historiographical debates concerning the development of two major political ideologies in modern America – liberalism and conservatism. The course trains students in the historiography of the field and gives them an opportunity to practice their analytical and communication skills through class discussions, paper assignments, and extensive reading of leading monographs and articles.
