I am an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of West Georgia.

I earned my Ph.D. from Georgia Tech's College of Computing where I was part of the Distributed Data Intensive Systems Lab.

My research interests lie in the areas of database systems, Web and Internet technologies, and mobile computing. I am especially interested in the application of database technologies to new domains such as the Internet and bioinformatics.

I am also interested in computer voice interfaces.

As a young educator, I often grapple with the intricate problems of education and am especially interested in ways to inculcate habits of software craftsmanship in my students—or, failing that, at least raise in them the awareness of the existence of such an idea.
